kjoyhm @textiler Hi! Hope your day went well! I purchased an oversized thick poster board at Hobby Lobby and I use that as a backdrop for my photos. I lay it down near a window, as natural light is best for pictures. I use the camera on my iPhone on the square setting, which fits perfectly into Poshmark's photo format. If needed, I'll use the editing features on the phone to increase exposure or brightness - whatever is needed to make the color just like it is in real life.

kjoyhm @textiler I often have to lay the item at an angle so that all or most of it fits into the frame. Then I'll add a plant of some kind to give freshness and a pop of color. Sometimes I'll use another item to make an "outfit" in the photo, whatever makes the picture look complete. kjoyhm @textiler I like to treat each photo like a creative challenge, because it's fun for me. But if that's not your thing, just get a really clear, simple photo of your item in great lighting and you'll be good to go! I don't know if I covered everything, so please ask more questions if you have any. 🙂

I even switched out my light bulbs to the GE white "Reveal" type. But there's still a yellow hue. Still experimenting. Sales are picking up some! Yay! I'm so ready for fall weather, but here in AL it doesn't really get cooler til late October. How are you? :)

kjoyhm @styledlife You're very welcome! Lighting is tough. Can you shoot near a north facing window? My photographer friend recommended that. Also, later in the day is better, not when sun is overhead. Have you tried the editing on your phone? If you click on the edit button and hit "Color" there's an option for "Cast." Moving bar to the left will make a cooler cast. It doesn't get cool here until mid-October, either. But lots of other places are gearing up for fall already. 🙂

I'm not super tech savvy , but I can use lyrics figure some things out by trial and error. ;) I live in a 1950's ranch style small house surrounded by lots of big trees, so my house is never really bright. And there's literally only a few corners I have space to photograph my dress form whom I named " Georgia". Lol. I'm goofy!
