rockcandy4u @jennburrus No. That is why I posted this article. Gold plated is a thin later of gold that 2 handwashes will start wearing off. Gold Filled is so thick that it's just like having a 100% 14k gold item.

rockcandy4u @skybluepink . No, its a thick layer as this says. Written by a jeweler..copied by me to share with all my peeps!! If you're going to buy jewelry, you need to be infirmed. Many Poshers on here are upstanding and legit....then there's the sharks. Thats why I also put out info on Tourmalines, Aquamarines & Corrundum. If I was a fake, I wouldn't educate people. You know what I mean!

rockcandy4u @7o_o7 if its solid Gokd...then its called 10, 14, 18, 22 or 24k solid gold. I put some solid gold pieces in...just tring to keep things organized to find it easier. I have over 700 items..the things at the top are newest, then its all by gem type...sorry if I confused you.

rockcandy4u @ttlcd 14k Gold has more gold volumn than 10k. That's why it's more valuable. Solid gold is like butter, it has to be mixed with metals to make it strong enough to hold up. The higher the number the more gold column and less other metals.

joyinmyjourney Your closet is literally my relaxation!!! It's the BEST and for some reason, even though I want EVERYTHING, it's incredibly calming!!! I will be a long, long time customer as long as you'll have me, lol!! The problem is that I for real want to actually buy everything I hit the like on and more! rockcandy4u @joyinmyjourney I don't think I'd let you do that, I'd be concerned that you may hurt yourself. If I could sell my business, I would. But then I'd start something new to keep me busy on Poshmark. Right now Poshmark values my boutique at 850k...I'd sell it for 400k. lol...pipe dream.

Many buy their cheap 5.00 pieces from China...Stamped 925....even some Stamped 14k...then the alloy pokes through. I always hope they find me and READ!

rockcandy4u @tacytucker There is a process to it for sure, but because the outer layer is GOLD it will last a lifetime. Jewelers do not like re-sizing due to inner core of mixed metals.
