sdshopper Don't sell this. It's exquisite. I collect turquoise jewelry. This is a beautiful piece, and not worth selling to a third party.❤️

lblack13 @sdshopper - I agree it is probably one of the best pieces I have seen. I don't wear it and my daughter doesn't really want it but I have no idea what it's worth. I don't even know what kind of turquoise it is. I only know that it is authentic and vintage. Do you know how to find out its value?

sdshopper I would say around $1200 without being vintage (have know clue what it would be appraised at as a vintage piece). Where I live we have a ton of shops that sell southwestern jewelry. I think the color looks a bit like Chinese Turquoise but I can be completely wrong. If I were you I would keep it. You won't find a piece quite like it. Does it say who made it?

sdshopper And I am pricing it at a place ("guesstimating") that sells high end jewelry, as I feel this is a gorgeous piece that would sell in their shop.

lblack13 @sdshopper - I don't know who made it but my parents used to go to Puerto Vallarta & a couple other places back in the late 60's/early 70's. Thats where my mom purchased all the turquoise & silver pieces I listed. I agree I should hang onto it but there isn't anyone n my family who would appreciate it. If I don't sell it here I will list on ebay. Same w other pieces. I sold 2 necklaces on here & gave a super deal bcuz I didn't know the value.

lblack13 @sdshopper - I just realized that I bought a coat from you for my son. You gave me a really good deal on it and he loves it. We have had a mild winter so he has worn it pretty much every day. :)

sdshopper I bet she made a pit stop in the Southwest! They look very much like she visited New Mexico. Your mother has great taste.

ladyt4dogs I would wear this with pride pride pride my gosh I don't know if I will ever take it off.. my Apache relatives would love that I would just have to wear it for them since they're all gone lol. I seriously would not sell that I would make it a gift to someone you really like and that you would know that would take care of it or someone the Holy Spirit is leading you to give it to that will treasure it..

lblack13 @ladyt4dogs - I agree but my daughter does not want it and I don't really have another person I would be willing to give it to. Maybe will donate for charity auction one day but everyone agrees that it is pretty much in the priceless category because people have never seen another one that is this exquisite. I almost sold it to someone but they made a rude comment on my listing so I canceled the sale and resisted it.

indigo1925
indigo1925 @lblack13 This is beautiful! It does not look Me I can to me, however, could be Native American/ Southwestern. Many pieces from the SE were not signed in the 60/70’s. If it were Mexican it would be signed and have an Eagle mark for that time period. I don’t think that’s Sleeping Beauty Turquoise. It’s too veined and the color is not right. However, it could be Kingman, Lone Mountain, or Morenci? Beautiful!!

lblack13 @aliciae515- If you have an opinion about the piece I would love to know. I love these pieces that were my Mother's but I have to sell most of my jewelry and high end luxury items. My life took a turn that I didn't plan for and my children and I have had to start all over again. I keep meaning to get them appraised but I just haven't done it.

aliciae515
aliciae515 @lblack13 it’s a solid piece of vintage turquoise jewelry and it has a personal story and value to you. You do you& what’s best for your family. Personally-I’d keep it around. If you have a wedding/ special occasion make sure to wear it - it gives you a chance to remember someone you loved plus show off their unique style. ❤️

laceyface85 Hello @lblack13 is this still for sale? And, did you ever have a chance to have it appraised? It’s absolutely gorgeous and was curious to know those two questions, thank you for your time in advance ♡

lblack13 @leeannleeann - Thank you! I have had so many people tell me that and I haven't been able to find a comp so I may just do that. My last effort is to get an appraisal and if it doesn't sell after 3 months it will go back in the safe deposit box. 😉
