kepinkston1 @maria916 Yes they are!! I actually have 3 chocolate labs. Two females, one is 10 and one is 7. Then Reece who is 2. He is hands down the most affectionate dog I have ever seen.

kepinkston1 @ginabobina24 Both hips and knees are both subluxated. The exact terminology he used was a luxating patella or 'Floating Kneecap'. Also, early hip dysplasia. 4 different surgeries total. Said he'd like to do one hip at a time, then one knee at a time. But he may not need all 4. It's a mess. I love this dog TOO MUCH.

ginabobina24 @kepinkston1 Unfortunately, labs tend to be prone to that & yes. SUPER, expensive. I completely understand how much moral support our babies are. I'm going through ALOT the past few months and on top of it all, my little 16 y/o Chihuahua terrier mix passed away unexpectedly and I'm just devastated and heart broken as he was my only moral support in a horribly abusive relationship.. Hang in there! Everything will work out, I just know it , I shared too! Xxo

And theyve actually had the nerve to contact me several times asking if they can come see him, and also asking if every other weekened they could take him for a day. Sure, let me think about that for a minute.... umm HELL NO!! Haha he is my baby now and he will NEVER be treated badly ever again. Not on my watch!

greatnanacloset This sounds so much like my own story. I have a service Dog due to mental issues. My last furbaby passed away Dec 9th. She was almost dead when picked up off the streets in Mississippi .. she had been bred and discarded like trash, too weak to even hold her head up ..I drove from GA to MS to get her. She lived with me 10 yrs right by my side.

greatnanacloset She did nothing but circle for almost a year and would hoard her food due to being starved. She was a miniature poodle and 2 yrs old weighed 2 lbs... she would have nothing to do with anyone but me.... my husband could not get near her for yrs. she did not trust men. I believed she was abused by a man and thrown out of a car because she was terrified to get in the car. 😥🐾🐩🐾

greatnanacloset I adopted her, she rescued me and saved my life. She brought me so much happiness and joy, My heart 💔 still aches for her. I sometimes feel her presence and feel her walk across the bed🐾🐩🐾 I know that may sound silly to some but if you have ever loved a fur baby 🐩like I did Missy, you understand. From what I read you share that same kind of love 💖 She had a heart attack while lying on my chest..thought my heart would burst 💔

greatnanacloset I was still lying on my bed with her on my chest when my husband came home and pried her out of my arms.... to bury her. 😰😩 Everyone told me to go ahead and get another right away. I did not think I was ready but Jan 20'17 GOD found me my BELLA ROSE 🐾🐩🐾 toy poodle. 💖 She was picked up off the streets in FL. IN TBE DAME SHAPE Missy was. Hair so long and matted you couldn't even see her eyes. She was beautiful to me. A friend drove me to FL so I could hold her on way home😀

greatnanacloset She is almost 2, Missy was 2 when I got her. She is a little smaller than Missy and she is more like a Baby... she loves for me to wrap her in a blanket and rock her. She lays flat against my chest with her little head buried in my neck. 😁😆 I didn't think it would happen that quick but I love her so much already. She is doing awesome .. in training as my next Service Dog. 🐾🐩🐾❤️💖❤️

greatnanacloset I guess I said all of that to say I understand exactly how you feel because my BELLA ROSE had awful teeth. I need to take her for a cleaning and she has some loose teeth. I can not afford that right now. Too much to go into but I got peroxide and gauze pads and I clean her teeth every morning with that and I got gel toothpaste that you just rub on the teeth and it works without brushing....

I got gel toothpaste at PETSENSE and you just rub on the teeth and it works without brushing.. within a month the plaque started to chip off. Her teeth are almost all white but I am fearful because her gums are still somewhat sore and she eats a little at a time. 😥

We rescued a yellow Lab who was left alone and abandoned. These babies have such a pure heart and their love is so unconditional. I will be praying for Reece. I am so thankful for you and for saving those sweet babies. It is a cruel cruel world these days, but there is enough good left to still have hope. I can so relate to everything you said and exactly how you feel. I have 3 chocolate labs, but something is different with Reece. I have never felt a bond with a dog like this.

kepinkston1 @sfpatterson I know that may sound weird but literally he is my dog. I am his person. I promise it is like he knows I came to save him. He follows me everywhere. If we are on the couch, and I need to go so laundry, he comes wirh me every time. He doesn't really pay attention to my husband. He truly helps me through all my mental illness battles and for that, I wish he could be around forever.

I am serious I will literally make plans, and BAIL because I'd rather stay home with my dogs. lol 😂😂 I love them though, they aren't judgy, they don't care if we don't have makeup on. My husband always says I worry more about the dogs more than i do him. lol. I can't disagree.

greatnanacloset @kepinkston1 that is the way all my rescues have been they literally ignore my husband and are stuck to me. But that is why we have them and why they are so helpful to us with Mental issues. Maybe we will have a chance to talk one day😊😍😘

ses54 Awwww🐶😢 We have a Boxer we rescued who went through the exact same thing & now needs dental surgery because he tried to chew his way out of that cage & broke off a canine causing further damage to both & it took me months to even get him to walk past our front door. There's a Special place in hell for ppl who do this to animals!! Our Boxer is the most loving gentle dog!

ses54 He weighed 32lbs at 3 yrs old then & now weighs 97lbs. His life in a cage is over!!!! Good luck with your baby & I know how expensive it can be! We have to come up with over $700 just for his dental surgery because of what someone else did to him. He's still suffering after 3 yrs! Has arthritis in his hips from being all cramped up all those years also! It's terrible. 😢🙏 for your baby 😘💨💋🐶

p1nked4evr @kepinkston1 i heard a saying once that said "Dogs are like people, but without the bad parts." My little pound puppy is my world! We got her just before I was in a very serious car accident, at first I was actually against another person in the house that I had to pick up after. After my accident I was couch bound for about 2 months and during that time I bonded with her like no one else in this house has. She is like my 4th kid. Prayers for your sweet boy, shared.
