aidancasey
aidancasey Hey thx for letting me know that's so bizarre! I'm confused though why there would be fakes of a suit that isn't even expensive in the first place??
May 22Reply
storm1595
storm1595 Hey, so they're not really "fake midori", they switched manufacturing companies(due to disagreements I believe), and wouldn't buy the rest of the bikinis that the company had already made for them, so now the company is trying to sell off all of the leftover bikinis(even though technically Midori asked them not tio). So while it's not "Midori", it's still their styles and old fabric.
May 22Reply
storm1595
storm1595 It just depends on whether you want it to be from actual Midori brand, or if you're okay with buying the exact same thing without the "authenticity".
May 22Reply
emma217
emma217 @aidancasey because people can buy them cheaper and get a bigger pay out by cashing in on the midori name when they aren't really midori
May 22Reply
emma217
emma217 @storm1595 they clearly aren't the same because styling is different and the pineapple lining is present. They are not made of the new fabric or the correct color. There is no point to purchase a fake bathing suit when you can buy the real thing from their website for nearly the same price. It's not right to cash in on the midori name when it's not midori

snowbunnies123
snowbunnies123 @storm1595 @emma217 yes I got an email as well stating they are the old manufacturer but dropped cause of disagreements like storm1595 stated. So their old midori typically is not fake. it's not right if them to claim the ones above are from the 2017 collection from the Midori website, but it's typically not "fake." Just responding just you tagged me, thanks.
May 22Reply
snowbunnies123
snowbunnies123 @aidancasey their suits are only $50 lol, not much profit. I still wouldn't say they are "fake" just not the new 2017 collection on their website
May 22Reply
emma217
emma217 @snowbunnies123 it's not right to cash in the on the midori name if it's not midori. These were never produced by midori and therefore are not midori. It is not the same quality fabric, cut, or color so it should not be sold as midori but rather a midori look alike
May 22Reply
snowbunnies123
snowbunnies123 @emma217 well the new 2017 ones are not, but they are still midori's old manufacturer, so the ones before 2017 are legitimate, I think. Midori said they have been trying to report her "new 2017 collection" on ebay but had no luck, for who knows why.
May 22Reply
storm1595
storm1595 @emma217 They're disgruntled. It was a business agreement that went faulty. Midori didn't want to buy the excess product that was made for them, so the manufacturer is probably trying to make a profit off of it. While yes, it may be crappy of them, unless there was a contract stating that they couldn't, its may be legal.
May 22Reply
snowbunnies123
snowbunnies123 @emma217 also the midori staff response is very inconsistent - one person said it was all fraudulent activity. the next day a diff person confirmed they were all old midori pieces made by former manufacturer.
May 22Reply
snowbunnies123
snowbunnies123 @storm1595 that may explain why they couldn't report her listings
May 22Reply
storm1595
storm1595 @emma217 They definitely won't be the same quality as the 2017 line(they're now being manufactured in the usa), they'd be more like the 2016 line. It just depends on your morals, and whether you're loyal to Midori or not. I just wanted to point out that it's not some person creating "fakes". It's their old manufacturing company selling off unused product
May 22Reply
storm1595
storm1595 @snowbunnies123 That's what I was thinking. They may have broken a contract or something that voided the company's copyrights to the prints. Who knows though.
May 22Reply
snowbunnies123
snowbunnies123 @storm1595 excuse my language but midori staff is talking out of their butthole, how can they get Merc shut down. 😂😂 this proves another point
May 22Reply
emma217
emma217 @snowbunnies123 I'd like see the other responses if you you have them however this was not part of the the 2016 collection or the 2017 collection then it's not legitimate and it's wrong to sell something that is of lower quality and mark it as midori. It is midori look alike not midori
May 22Reply
snowbunnies123
snowbunnies123 @emma217 @storm1595 Wow you are really passionate about Midori. Okay, I feel like this is becoming redundant. Whether the "2017 COLLECTION" is fake or not is subjective. Lower quality is also subjective - you wouldn't know unless you own the same piece from both the old and the new to compare, unless you do? However, you cannot say the old manufacturer creates all fakes because the styles before 2017 were ALL made by her! This is the truth and accurate information.
May 22Reply
snowbunnies123
snowbunnies123 Therefore, you cannot say she creates fakes. I will tag you in the screenshots and mark nfs. I am in grad school and have been procrastinating enough - I made my point defending my beliefs, and will not respond past this. thanks
May 22Reply
emma217
emma217 @snowbunnies123 ok cool but it's not ok to rip people off
May 22Reply
emma217
emma217 @snowbunnies123 it's funny how you think it's a bad thing I have time on my hands... maybe it's because our school year is basically over and we don't need to do much in class
May 22Reply
emma217
emma217 @snowsolitud3 these are fake and are not up to same quality of midori bikinis and are not made by midori and therefore not midori it is copyright infringement. You may not care about the quality and authenticity of your bathing suits but others do and should be tricked into buying something that is not authentic and of lower quality.
May 22Reply
emma217
emma217 @snowsolitud3 you mean stuff I'm selling from when I was a child? Your stuff is all cheap and slutty but ok lol

vysclothing
vysclothing Oh my goodness I wish I saw this sooner, I just bought 5 pieces from a seller on eBay for $150, I thought I was getting a good deal but the items all have pineapple lining in 2017 styles.
Jun 02Reply
alysonkrystine
alysonkrystine @tuyetthivy Okay technically they aren't "fake" they're just from the old manufacturer of Midori bikinis. They may not be made of the same material as the USA manufacturers, but they are not fake. (To anyone who wants to argue with me about this statement, I don't care).
Jun 07Reply
alysonkrystine
alysonkrystine @tuyetthivy plus the pineapple lining is cuter than the "actual" lining inside, in my opinion. :)
Jun 07Reply
emma217
emma217 @alysonkrystine well they're not midori or up tot he standards of the 2017 collection so they shouldn't be listed as midori it's wrong with rip someone off
Jun 08Reply
shiningblossom
shiningblossom @tuyetthivy wrote she bought her fake bikinis 5 for $300 on her listing but here she clearly wrote she only paid $150
Jun 12Reply
shiningblossom
shiningblossom @emma217 I hate it when people try to scam others for their money
Jun 12Reply
shiningblossom
shiningblossom @emma217 U need to help put a stop to this. scamming and ripping people off is not rite. She made so much monie out of fakes

vysclothing @shiningblossom this is ridiculous, I do not understand why you are personally attacking me.
Jun 12Reply
shiningblossom
shiningblossom @lissmill it's ok if u buy just do not want u to pay $140 and get ripped off when it was really only $60 for the set
Jun 13Reply

sjanderson91 @sarahorl idk if maybe another collection did but there seems to be a lot of warnings against the pineapple lined ones. Just an FYI! ☺️

gabriellazych
gabriellazych fake ones also say on the tag "dry on low heat" but the actual company on the website says to always hand wash and let drip dry

littletidbits
littletidbits Can you post an example of what it SHOULD look like for us?
Jul 02Reply
littletidbits
littletidbits I bought midori bikinis straight from midori and one top says Brazil and one says columbia. So the “made in USA only” part of your post is incorrect.
