domenyka @pizzadreams aw yay thank you so much!! 1. how long did it take to make your first sale? 2. there have been so many people following me! should i follow them back? 3. how to a respond to a low ball offer? 3. do people really make money on here? it seems like everyone is selling but no one is buying :( maybe i'm just new to the app. thank you so much!! i really appreciate it :)

pizzadreams @domenyka 1. I made my first sale within a few days starting but that was because I had very low prices (items I wanted to get rid of fast). I must admit though, I was buying on Poshmark for a few months before selling so my closet had some followers, which made it easier to sell. There are months I go without sales and that can be because there isn't interest or the price isn't what people want to pay, but I wait it out. I have well curated items and don't want to give items away:)

pizzadreams @domenyka 2. should you follow people back? Yes and no. It's entirely up to you. I think it's best to always build your follower base, so it's great to follow people back and build your network. Items sell when you share your items BUT ALSO OTHER people sharing your items. I am a part of a few share groups (you can join most when you have more share experience), and that has been the most effective way to get your items exposed to more people. Share and be shared.

pizzadreams @domenyka 3. Some Poshers are PROS at sales, but they put in a great deal of time, effort, and work hard to sell. Some Poshers market themselves on instagram and pinterest. I only sell from own wardrobe but there are Poshers who are very successful w/ their boutique shops. Even without this, I've made good sales and have repeat customers. The key is to have great service. Ship fast, package your items nicely, be honest with your listings, and throw in a bonus for good purchases.

pizzadreams @domenyka 4. Some Poshers get very offended with low ball offers and block users for this. Me personally, I will reject the offer and then write that Posher that I appreciate their interest but will not entertain that offer (or I just reject it or counter without a note). I never let an offer sit if I can help it. I don't think it's good practice to berate customers, so I try to be as transparent as possible.

pizzadreams @domenyka Every Posher is different and there is no "right" way with the answers I have given you...but never sell an item for less than you want to receive. This is your closet and you don't owe it to anyone to compromise. I hope this helps you a little. Definitely let me know of you have any more questions. These answers ate from my own experience but you can definitely get a spectrum of good advice from others, of course:)

domenyka @pizzadreams oh my god!!!! thank you so much, you answered everything i wanted and more, also thank you so much for sharing my items!! thank you so much for reaching out because i truly felt lost since everyone seems to know what they're doing and i was so confused 😭 i was about to delete the app but thank you so much for the advice/motivation!! i really appreciate it :)

pizzadreams @domenyka I promise. It will get easier with time. Definitely don't feel like a stranger if you need more advice in the future. Also...Bravo to you! I saw you refused a customer trying to get you to sell off Poshmark. Aside from it being against Poshmark policy, I don't think it's safe (especially with trades). I only sell on Poshmark because even though it's a 20% commission they take, it gives you more protection. Wishing you my best.
