hmaltese33 In my opinion, it's not so much the people that sell fakes and disclose that it's a fake. It is the people that sell the fakes for a deep discount but claim its authentic. I have caught many sellers selling unauthentic Gucci sunglasses yet claim their real. They always block me if I say anything. And like you said, they always have many items, brand new at ridiculously low prices.

If u can just report them or anything u question! I know it’s a pain in the booty & I have even mailed Gucci about date codes (checking authentication) w/ zero response 😕😐😢 I have to sell my items to live & it hurts bad cuz I’ve paid full price for everything. My fault for thinking I was secure in my job but after 14 leg surgeries I was let go.

I always do report it when I know it is a fake. Of course both types of sellers have a negative impact on the selling of authentic items, I just can't stand the scammers that claim that items are authentic and people pay good money for the items because it seems like a great deal but really they're just being ripped off.

bespokejoe this right here. just randomly saw this post pop up, it's crazy, before my surgery thought life was fine. now I'm having to price completive to "new authentic" when my stuff is clearly used, but real and have receipts for almost all of it ... my ex Jokes that if I sold my whole closet I could buy a house..... she clearly doesn't realize I'm having to sell for pennies on the dollar to get by.

I hope things get better for u (& me too) very soon!!! I woke up at 3am in a panic I wasn’t gonna be able to pay rent so discounted everything waaaaay too much for my liking. I stopped putting my high ticket stuff here and moved it to another site. takes longer to sell but they are ontop of authentication, so people are confident buying on it Here's to a Better Decade to us both!

bespokejoe @jmsmooth23 also honestly instead of authentication on items that sell for $500, they should have an extra step that is if the products original retail was over 500, you have to post a picture and type out date code, serials, etc.. depending on brand. back before I was working with the company that pushed me out. I was building a simple way to implement instant proof of authenticity and ownership.

bespokejoe where inside the item there would be a code / QR that was a crypto address, and as well as a paper one for when you purchased it. at time of purchase your proof is attached to the item in store, and if you gift it or sell it, it's as simple as scanning the code/ inputting it into an app/browser and it would transfer the ownership, to the new person, recording the entire history of ownership from creation at factory to end consumer.

bespokejoe where you would have the ability to say I want to prove I own these without transfer, and it would pop up with "Verified Owner of LV Shoes Code 1vjejYwiw7482" and it would match up to code on shoes. everything encrypted, fakes that try to copy a code for their replicas would be spotted immediately, since if someone says they are real, but when you have them try to verify, they wouldn't be able to prove it. (there's a ton more to it, but I'm trying to keep it short)

A few years ago I was getting scammed somebody bought a pair of my Gucci tennis shoes and it ended up going to a PO Box which many items were bought to the box but no one could tell me who the owner was and I never got paid. jmsmooth23 @enyaw7878 yes unfortunately since the pandemic there’s been a lot of issues but you just have to be particular when you’re buying higher end items and see how many followers the person has, if they’re an ambassador and how many sales we’ve had. No one in their right mind is selling Gucci shoes for $89 and then if you look at the Balenciagas they were also very cheap 😬 it’s always nice to look for someone who has sold some things for over 500 and has gotten it authenticated by Poshmark that’s one good sign that there’s stuff under 500 is legit.

be_luxe It's disheartening though - I see people I reported just register under a different name (usually random letters that make no sense) & keep right on selling. PM needs to create a different program that doesn't allow people to get past registration. That's where it all starts. They seem to refuse to do anything about it no matter how many times you contact them. Thinking of selling my items elsewhere......
