I have worked in animal rescue for many year's. There are thousands of animal's every day that are put down. Did you know that over 3 million cat's and 2.4 dog's are euthanized each year? Each year that number climbs because people do not spay and neuter. Also did you know that black cat's and dog's are the very last to be adopted and the first to be euthanized? All because of stereotyping? These animal's count on us to help them! If you can't adopt, maybe you can volunteer! Thank you! 😻🐶🐕

rlynmass I have captured many a feral kitten & socialized them & if they didn't become office cats, they were quickly scooped up by others. Sad when you think about older cats who lost their home due to either their owners downsizing, illness or death. Such a challenge! Much appreciation for your hard work & efforts!!😽💕

There are so many more dog people. Cat's deserve every chance too, and it saddens me so much to see them abused, starving, fighting to survive, etc.. So many people are eager to get a new kitten and yet with adopting a older cat they already know what they are getting!

uyenwendy I wish I was a millionaire so I can able to adopt all of animals especially dogs or cats are homeless as much as possible or could able to donate foods, medications, or animals supplies. I used to donate some but not much. I want to do it more and more..... Wishing allergy will have cure provide to people who gets allergic of cat, or dogs. Wishing each of family in USA has at least 1 cat or dog in their house. Still wishing and praying to God everyday!!!

littlebithad12 Black kitties, too! I adopted a pair and the ladies at the shelter were so grateful. I have a little farm and some jerk dumped off a black kitty. It lets me get about 3 feet from it. I feed him/her and hope it loses its fear of me. It lives in the barn. Sweet kitty. I worry about his/her safety, because there is a big kitty, (cougar/mountain lion/puma...depending on your part of the country), who makes his rounds about every 6 wks or so.

littlebithad12 @lovefaithgrace. They all are confident they are loved and care not going to get in trouble regardless! My oldest kitty is improving. I own a 79yr old house. I had a horrible problem with rats. I had to call a natural exterminator. They found the timbers of my house were badly covered with fungus. I had it treated. The air quality has improved 120%. Old kitty is breathing much better, is singing, and playing again! The rats just plain left!

lovefaithgrace @detroitlook Hello!! Thank you for stopping by my closet! Your idea of a app sounds neat, but sadly it is very dangerous for anyone to know where feral communities are. There are groups of “hater’s” who will purposely poison or kill cat’s by other mean’s because they don’t want them around. Here we have sterile feral and we have seen colonies destroyed by these awful people who don’t understand what we do.

lovefaithgrace @detroitlook If you want to help more, I suggest seeing if you have a Sterile Feral in your area, or even feeding/caring for colonies of cat’s on your own without telling anyone. It takes just 1 bad person to ruin it for all of them. Your local humane society may know if groups who take care of feral’s also, Altho they may not be willing to give you info. detroitlook @lovefaithgrace that’s a great point!! There are definitely awful people hence the cat problem to begin with. I wonder about something just for internal group use. I have done feeding and rescuing myself as I can (tamed, rescued and found a forever home for a sweet not really feral last year!) but I am a commuter cyclist and don’t have a car so it’s a little harder for me. I’m gonna refocus on those efforts since they’ve been successful for me! Thank you so much for doing what you do ❤️💕⚡️✨🦋

shopaholicami I know it's heartbreaking! My hubby and I have adopted so many furbabies over the past 20 years.. adopting and rescuing is the best 🥰 Right now I'm donating all my proceeds.. I split them to between a Cancer survivor I know, the American Cancer society and 2 local animal shelters that we've adopted our most recent loves from. bethejoy @lovefaithgrace Spay and neuter your animals!! They live longer lives and there is NO NEED WHATSOEVER for any extra kittens or puppies! Registered breeders aside, nobody should be breeding animals that doesn’t show that breed or have years of investment in the breed...

bethejoy @lovefaithgrace ...Our Dobie (Doberman) is a product of backyard breeding and has a skin condition that has been successfully breed out of registered Dobermans. He also had a “temperament issue” that came from being in a kennel vs a home. When you adopt an animal it is for their life - they depend on you! Their love is worth it 100x!! Good for you for raising awareness!

grace4d I adopted a black cat- he lived 18 years & 20 years later I still miss him! We rescued 2tabbies since tho. I rescue dogs too. Had 3 Chihuahuas from a bad breeder & now down to 1. He passed on, another black cat came out of know where. I went outside to sit with my husband. He jumped in my lap and went to sleep. After that he would look up at my window, just sitting there... Everyone who meets her, loves her and I actively try to talk to others about the black cat stereotypes. My boyfriend and I have both also decided that when we are ready for a second cat we would like to adopt an older one and are also looking into being foster kitty parents because my cat loves company and has fostered many other kittens we have cat sat for or found and rehomed❤️
