@messtodress can you tell/show me how to expose a scammer so that no one else is scammed by this thief?
Apr 12Reply

messtodress
@kariek sure ... just flag it for poshmark to remove and ignore it ... someone has told me that they think it is poshmark that puts those messages out ( to try to catch people that break rules and sell off of the app to avoid paying the 20% fee) ... I’m not sure if that’s true .... but it’s very suspicious how the comments disappears anytime I reply to comments like that ( by calling them out as a scammer )
Apr 12Reply

messtodress
@kariek did you get a message like this one ? Or are you referring to something else ?
Apr 12Reply

kariek
@messtodress it’s something else! it’s a seller that had me (i know my own fault) take The transactions off the site and for whatever reason I did it! I was scammed out of the money and the product I just don’t believe that she should be on here trying to scam others since that’s what she’s in the business of! and not selling products
Apr 12Reply

kariek
@messtodress I started actively participating and only buying never sold anything I didn’t do my homework and read up on the rules and how to go about being safe I brought quite a few things and every single one of my transactions have always gone very smoothly with all the sellers that I’ve dealt with not one issue I took that for granted and thought I was safe with this person

@morgan_mueller this is what my comment was related to that I made on your juicy couture necklace listing about that person's comment about them wanting you to email them privately at their gmail... I'd flag that person's comment as possible spam... 🙏🏻❤️

@schameleonart okay thank you for reaching out to me to let me know!! 🙌🏼

@messtodress these are scammers. they make multiple accounts and they comment things like this onmany items that are usually a decent price. it is real very real. they try to get as much info as they can to sell it on the black market, or to scam your accounts. poshmark deletes the comments no seller or buyer can delete any comments.
Apr 27Reply

danglina
@bonwyche love you hit the flag next to the comment and report it right away. you then want to block the account. its usually people that ask you to email them or to trade. you always want to keep any transaction on poshmark. do not ever email or give anyone your email address or other information. poshmark protects us. =)
Apr 27Reply

danglina
@awilson_962 you can not delete the comment. poshamrk does a very good job removing spammers/scammers comments like these. you can report it by hitting the flag on the right of the comment and report it. posh will usually delete it for you.

@bonwyche of coarse=) you too. i hope i could help a little.

I've been thinking... I'm big on resolve. We just need to fix the system- because at this point the only resolution is 'Don't Trade' which isn't fair. What if (bear with me, I know this sounds excessive...) when somebody trades with another, BEFORE accepting the purchase on either end, each person adds a picture to both listings with a CLEAR and COMPLETE list of the following: Their face, a legible picture of their drivers license (numbers & address blacked out- of course),
Aug 21Reply

missmal92
Their face, a legible picture of their drivers license (numbers & address blacked out- of course), the item(s) included in the agreed upon trade and a note with the date and a clearly written quick statement of the agreement- signed. At least this way, if a scammer DOES scam, this can be used against them in a shared scammer listing- which nobody likes AND they can't initially lie about having the item(s). Thoughts? If anybody likes this idea LET START SPREADING THE WORD.

Thanks for posting this scam alert. It’s helps us to be aware of shady people. I had one that told me to email and I did for a Chanel, but I told her the only way I’d purchase out of posh was to meet at a Chanel store so it could be authenticated and of course she lost interest in trying to sell it to me. I knew she was a scammer.
