If a seller got it “as a gift” there’s NO WAY they can guarantee it’s real and should never list them. catmlrse @ramona786 I don’t know how to authenticate Gucci unfortunately. It seems highly unlikely that someone could sell a brand new $400 scarf for $90... Fakes can be bought for $10 apiece however. The Burb scarf from that seller is absolutely fake.

catmlrse @ramona786 If you want to the chance, you can take it to Sax or whenever they sell Gucci and they can authenticate for you, then open a case if they say it’s fake. Or simply cancel.

lsouboch @bkascak this super kind person made some posts on how to spot fake ones! I'm not sure what you can do since you purchased but it's illegal to knowingly sell fake items as real. Maybe you could ask to get a refund by contacting poshmark & going to burberry where they will tell you it's counterfeit.

I have over 15 authentic BB scarves, because I was BB scarves collector for years, but now I am a Chanel & LV scarves collector. 😉All of my scarves come with tag, of course I see many of people wearing the fake, but there is no tag on them. catmlrse @fasnaa You can open a case when you get it. Posh will ask you to send pics of the scarf to them. The seller’s photos are really suspicious. Many are not even of the same scarf. The scarf in the very first pic (which is the one for sale) is definitely fake. The tag is sewn too far into the scarf.

gardenofstyles I think I got scammed on another platform as seller deleted from here when I bought it. Horse logo not clear, stitching and label placement & wrong thread used. Black plastic hang tag has purplish lettering. Loose threads in seam. Hopefully I’ll get refunded.

m95nguyen @catmlrse Hi there! I know that this thread is old, but could you please take a look at Carolybio ‘s Burberry scarf listing and let me know what you think? I purchased it but when I received it, it just felt WAY off. As in the material and the paper tag was so flimsy. I compared it to my other Burberry scarf I purchased at Nordstrom’s and the one I just bought on Poshmark is Way thinner in material as well and isn’t as soft.

m95nguyen @catmlrse Thanks so much! I just needed reassurance. The buyer basically started accusing me of not wanting to send it back when I filed a complaint with poshmark. Then she goes “it was a gift so why would it be fake”. Ugh. Thanks again abd have a great day!
