@bagsnbistros — All is well love! The consult was wonderful! My husband was like he sold me on the presentation and video where they showed the different gastric surgeries. Which procedure did your mom have? I am getting the gastric sleeve. I going through the process now. I will probably get the survey in January 2019.

@bitz4less she ended up going with the original gastric bypass. We weighed the pros and cons and that really was the best option for her. She's now getting prepared to get her tummy tuck because of the loose skin.

@bitz4less here we have Dartmouth medical center. Basically anyone with insurance and with a bmi over a certain amount can enter the program. You have to get counseling, see a nutritionist/dietician as well as lose like 10% your body weight to prove you can do it. Im about 75 pounds overweight so I started doing the program but lost my insurance. I'm diabetic too. Posh has actually helped.me by giving me a hobby so I don't think about eating like I used.to

@bagsnbistros —WOW!!!! That s wonderful. Your mom lost a lot of weight. She lost 65-70 percent of her excess weight. The doctors said I am 5 6 and supposed to weigh 140. I have never been that weight. I have always been thick and of course the thickness never bothered me until I reached 40. LOL!

So, now i am trying to lose wieight and it takes forever. It seems as if I am gaining more now then losing. I feel really good about the surgery. The doctor told me I will lose between 50-100 pounds. I am excited and scared because it will be a life change.

I am having the surgery in IL at a Bariatic clinic. There were people there who had different gastric procedures and spoke about their progress and weight loss.

i went to seminars like that as well. Did you put in your research about the gastric sleeve? i remember there was a reason why it wasnt a good option for myself or my mom. Just make sure it's the right one for you!!! I think the sleeve is for people who don't need as much to lose or something.

I am not where I want to be but I am still working at it. I say this to say to you. We didn’t gain the weight over night. It was over a duration of time. We all get off course from time to time. But you need to get back focused and you will be fine love. You are beautiful as well❤️

@lolas_boutique_ — Hey Love! It took a little over a year. I lost 100 pounds. No I am no where I want to be bcuz I love to eat😂. I snack to much. I love the cakes, cookies, donuts. Listen my husband be shacking his head all the time bcuz I have to have my small coffee daily with a blueberry donut. Don’t get me wrong my husband and I walk daily in the morning. Well he jogs and I walk😆. So I exercise but it’s the sweets..❤️

@bitz4less oh girl me too! It’s the sweets and the real coke I can’t seem to stop! I love love coke so much. I seem to go crazy without it. Also I found these microwave manicotti dinners! Omg I eat two everyday. That’s all I want! They taste just like an upscale restaurant style dinner. If you love Italian food they have several dinners all are amazing! I can get the name of them, I should know! I don’t like meat so I choose the manicotti.

@bitz4less it’s in a green box in the frozen foods called Michael angelos ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Never have I ever tasted a microwave meal like this. The sauce is just wonderful and the whole meal tastes like a 5 star real Italian restaurant for real! Try the manicotti! It’s got a white creamy cheese inside a pasta noodle with sauce. The lasagna is great too!

@bitz4less yes I know the coke is bad! I drink about 8 cans a day! No joke! That’s what keeps my weight on. If I ate tons I would be 800 pounds! Luckily I don’t eat a lot at all. Surgery. But not suppose to have sodas at all!

@bitz4less my mom had diabetes for aboutv40 years! She was 5’5” and 300 pounds for most of her life. Around age 50 she had gastric bypass. Lost so much and it literally gave her so many extra years. She had ruined her organs from weight and diabetes and no fixing what was already damaged. Eventually she went on dialysis and had major heart failure. She passed 4 years ago. I need to change things.

I loved Dr. Pepper like that and had to stop because it was putting so much weight on me. The taste of it is sooo darn good. I am definitely gonna check out the Michelin’s dinner. That’s a brand I buy all the time. I will definitely look for the one you said.
