Notice how it changes color, depending on what its near Just gorgeous! Lots of flash and fire Gold, light yellow, light green, a little pink and blue jump out when it moves in the light The back has an AB coating which adds to the multiple colors I have made a pair of matching earrings. I have included a pic of all 3 together. If you don't see a listing for the earrings, please ask me Chain in pic is 16" gold plated, others are available for sale if you prefer different.

nanasjewelbox @fancywaterbuck That doesn't sound weird at all :) The answer is that no it doesn't. But, it means that the crystal is doing what it is supposed to: faceted well so it reflects well. Like a diamond :) It may be picking up reflections of things in the room where the pic was taken. This is one of the prettiest crystals I have, the colors are many, and usually you see a few only.

nanasjewelbox @fancywaterbuck well, I really don't think so, but, I will be happy to get it out and take a second look. Maybe I am wrong (I don't think so, but since you want me to be, I'll be very happy to take a look for you :)) It's not easy to enclose something in crystal and then cut facets into it. I'll get it and the earrings out and take a second look for you :))

nanasjewelbox @fancywaterbuck You are welcome :) I was thinking of making a listing for them today and wanted you to have the first chance to get them if you liked them. When I made them I tried 3 different kinds of tops, and decided this was the best of the three. But I can change them if you prefer different- this may be too simple for some :)

nanasjewelbox @fancywaterbuck My goodness, thank you for telling me I was correct! So nice to hear sometimes! :)) That gold coating is what people are referring to when they talk about an "AB crystal" AB refers to Aurora Borealis. or a metallic coating used to create iridescence. I LOVE AB personally.

nanasjewelbox @fancywaterbuck That coating is why the crystal looks so green and gold in some lights. My crystal can look green gold pink purple or blue, depending on the light or the colors nearby. This effevt was nicely refined in the early 1950's by Swarovski, though any glassmaker can do it
