bnnygrl12 Hello Posh friend. I am sharing some sad news with my fellow bunny lover...Maisey lost her most recent battle with EC this morning😥 She’d almost fully recovered after 3 weeks of meds and out of nowhere went downhill. 11pm she was eating & playing, by 2am yesterday she was hiding. She never ate after that and was partially paralyzed & blind by this am😥 She’s now with all the Angels🐰💕🐰

She knew she was ready just like my little Oreo🐰he went down so quickly I’m so he was in my arms when he left us. I think that’s why I have such a hard time with it still. Prayers🙏

bnnygrl12 @angeldarling Hello dear friend❤️ I’m sorry it’s taken so long to reply - between Ollie changing his mind on an almost daily basis as to whether or not he wants to eat, and my moms quickly worsening newly diagnosed metastatic cancer I’ve been sooo busy and stressed😰. My sweet boy has been eating entire salads a couple nights, then refusing everything. Then he’ll munch on a bit of his 6 hay varieties one day, but not the next😱

bnnygrl12 He’s pretty consistent about eating his flavored Timothy hay cookies though which the vet said is better than nothing at all. I think he’s sad and lonely, and likely a little bored too but with my moms many dr appts, tests, & starting today immunotherapy treatments I simply don’t have time to properly go about finding a new friend for him and introducing them😥

bnnygrl12 I’m trying to spend as much time with him as possible, in a non-threatening manner (lying on the floor talking/singing to him (he likes the little bunny fufu tune so I make up words lol!) but am afraid it’s just not enough😥. I know my brother being here from UT for 5 days (didn’t stay with me but he and my mom came every day) was stressful for my sweet baby too but it’s been a week now & he’s still acting strangely (more than normal!)

Prayers for you and your mom and ollie I’m really about your sweet boy since his loss...he is in mourning for sure😢It actually requires a lot of attention and love but I fully understand your going through so much yourself. bnnygrl12 I’m 🙏🏻 that my mom’s immunotherapy session today goes well & once she realizes how compassionate and competent the GB Oncology team is she won’t be as terrified of doctors and medical things but after nearly 74 years that’s difficult to change🙁. If so, perhaps my stress level will decrease and Ollie will sense that and maybe even be a happy single bunny💕🐰 Thank you so much for all your support and kindness always - but especially the past few weeks. It means so much to us❤️🐰❤️🥰

angeldarling @bnnygrl12 Awwhh I’m sure ollie knows your loving on him with the cute singing and such I did same with my sweet boy actually had a song with his name in it. He loved just laying in my arms and when I would sing to him. Bunnies are so cute so loving. Awwhh. I wish I lived near by I would help you with ollie 😊

bnnygrl12 @angeldarling it would be so wonderful to have a sweet friend like you nearby😊 (And not just to help with Ollie🥰). My mom was really the only help I had and now that she’s unable to it’s been somewhat challenging but I’m at my best when the stakes are high so I’m praying I can figure out what he wants/needs and make him happy💕🐰. Something about singing to them versus talking seems to work best - I wonder why? Last wk I week I even got a few binkies and head tosses out of him from it😁❤️🐰

angeldarling @bnnygrl12 yes he loves singing it’s a comfort to them as well. Awwhh I bet he was so cute when he did that!🐰💓😊my sweet boy love singing and at one time I had radio on softly he loved to be in living room area where there was music coming from. It’s soothing to them. My oreos last moments here with us I had over the rainbow in instrumental version the baby one. He made feel so calm at the end.

bnnygrl12 Ollie has been a patient little boy today. My mom was very unexpectedly admitted to the hospital because her pain is out of control & the cancerous mass has become even more aggressive than they realized last week, and it also appears to be infected. So I spent 6 hours running around transferring her across town from her oncology clinic at 1 hospital to the main cancer hospital. Thankfully she’d taken her fog Poppy to daycare but I had to arrange boarding for an indefinite period.

bnnygrl12 Then I had to refill Poppy’s allergy pills b/c I couldn’t find them & the vet was across town a 3rd direction & closed in 1 hr. THEn needed to portion out her food for 3 days, gather toys, treats, blanket, etc., write instructions, & get them to the daycare by 7. Add about 10 phone calls to hospital, doctor, my brother in UT, and many texts and sweet Ollie didn’t get any attention or salad till 8:40😥

bnnygrl12 @angeldarling hello dear friend! How have you been? I’m still not able to get anything on here as my mom was supposed to go to the hospital for 1-2 nights & that has 14 days ago. Lots of things started going wrong- the latest with her heart. As of now idk when she’s getting out, or if she’s even going to be able to go home or will need to go to rehab/nursing hone. All this in less than 40 days🥺

bnnygrl12 I do have some good news though! Oliver Sacks and I - after quite a lot of patience on both our parts - have finally started to bond😁 This am was the biggest breakthrough yet - he did a bunny flop less than a foot from me while I was lying on the floor nearby🥰 Then he let me pet him (a very rare occasion) for about 15 min❤️🐰 That was an awesome start to my week😁. I hope things are going well for you and that you have a great week💕🐰💕

I know it’s must have been some tough days.
