I have a pair in black size 30 and they fit great. they're not too short and I had the same issue because the models are very thin but they're not that short and they're high rise shorts you could pull them down but its just the look right now, it might show a cheek lol and I'm 5'3" so I understand about the height issue. half of the jeans I sold were because the inseam was too long for me =(
