Lady bundled 15 heavy items then demaned I go outside of Poshmark for shipping labels. Copped an attitude when I canceled her order and wouldn't bend to her will on discounts. She is now blocked after I got her address so I could avoid any other accounts she might make.

poshmark transferred $1000 into a Wells Fargo account that wasn’t mine and accused me of doing it! I haven’t gotten my money back yet! They have only email and keep sending me a different dumb response every day! None saying they will give me my money !

I’m a new posher, I have already had sooooo many horrible experiences on this site. I’m having literal anxiety attacks everyday waiting for the buyer to complain. It is so unfair and horrible that there isn’t even a direct phone number I can contact Poshmark at. This is ridiculous, there are so many scamming buyers here.

@unimer people should wrote this to poshmark, if you do, I'll do it with you. convince them it'll make their platform better and more friendly to sellers like me and you, I get nervous too, I scan my items like a hawk before shipping it, trying to find any imperfection.

I have some high prices items but don't like to sell them here. and Already I had some chick lie to me saying the wig I have is cheap and was from a fraudulent seller. ppft. Google says she has no dirt so she's clean in my eyes, and the customers rave her product, like what really gives?

Hi! Is it safe to sell items to buyers with only their profile picture?

@jgrace198234 From my experience, yes. It usually is a person that only buys and doesn't sell. I have sold many items to people with no profiles. Sometimes, if they buy items on here, you can click on their "about " button under their profile and it will show you items they've bought, and notes they've left for other sellers. But it could be they are new and don't have any on there yet.

@jgrace198234 But, postmark will cover you if anything happens, but to make sure you always cover yourself, video yourself packing the item with a shot of the shipping label. I do that as a safeguard on all items anyway. Hope that helps! 😊

I sold a pair of brand new sperry boots for $50 to @venieg, she left me a 1 star review saying they were all scuffed up and did not look like the pictures. She immediately listed them using my pictures she said didn't look like the shoes. Goes on to say she loved them but was time to rotate them and jacks up the price $30 over my listing price! I question why she used pictures she said didn't look like the shoes and she said she bought them for someone else and they told her to do it!

(Continued from above)I think venieg must have had an old pair of these boots and wanted to sell those using my pics to make them look new and make money and then blame me and refer to the 1 star review! Anybody have any idea what this scam? is. I have never had anything like this ever happen to me.

@wearwolfe Thanks. It really makes no sense to me at all. I got paid. I worry she is trying to use my reputation to sell junk,as she put @catknip in her listing. WHY refer to me in the listing after the 1 star rating. She took down her listing when I questioned her about the rating and relisting the item. I will be watching her though to try to figure out what she is up to.

@catknip Yea good thing to keep an eye on that. I looked up her profile too, and I didn't see anything on there, so she definitely took down the listing. I'm glad you got paid, but its not fair to you that the 1 star is on there. I wish postmark had a way to contest buyer reviews if they so blatantly lie.

@catknip And unfortunately it's not just on here...ive had issues on M3rcari and 3bay. Even though 99% of ratings are 5⭐, that 1% can really bring down your overall rating which is not fair. I'm extra careful when I send anything because you just don't know who you're sending it to and what their end game is.

@catknip If you're using the app on your phone, try logging in on a computer and see if you can get in that way. If so and you account looks ok, delete the app on your phone, then reinstall it and log in. that may work.

@wearwolfe reinstalling chrome didn't work but after the reinstall, clean up and reset in chrome fixed it but I also had to change my password for poshmark, as poshmark kept saying my password was incorrect( I know that sounds crazy but it is true--I checked cap locks to see if that was problem but no).

Sold boots, put in account number for direct deposit, accidently transposed the last 3 numbers, immediately contacted Poshmark Support (transaction not yet processed), they said to wait because the payment will reject because acct. won't match( I'm assuming the acct# and Name won't match), transaction comes back completed, never rejected. When I contact them again they tell me I entered an "incorrect but valid account" they say routing/acct# match. Name? Oct 3rd sell and still no pay. What to do

@ritaj1058 wow, that I'm not really sure how you'd resolve that. I would think that would be something that poshmark would have to fix, because you wouldn't be able to file a dispute with your bank. I would keep on harassing poshmark to fix the issue. I don't know how to really handle that.

What is proper etiquette for extreme low ball offers? I have been selling on Poshmark for a while now and have noticed low ball offers increasing. Frankly, it’s disrespectful. I have either been ignoring them or countering. But mostly ignoring them.

@holly147 Well, what I do is counter and just send them a message that "$xx is the best I can do, or $xx lowest I can go". Maybe do a discounted shipping with a discount. I've noticed that a lot of the super lowball offers are not serious anyway. Most just want to try and get it for as cheap as they can and don't really care that you have money invested in it.

@holly147 Don't settle for less than what you think its worth. People need to understand that this is a business transaction just like any other online purchase. This isn't a garage sale, and most items are better quality, and they need to respect that. I prefer to deal with serious buyers. I never just decline an offer, but I will counter if I believe its too low.

Got a poor review because of the USPS shipping delays. Poshmark need to not charge so much if the shipping is going to take a week instead of the 2 or 3 days.

@holly147 Yea unfortunately Poshmark doesn't make it a fact to tell buyers that shipping speed, after you give it to the post office, is not part of the rating. But, even then, some buyers just like to complain. There should be a way for sellers to dispute bad ratings. That way it would be fair for both parties.

@holly147 I am new :) I’m trying to brush up because I had some super weird things happen while selling intimates. -it’s creeping me out. I have active offers, but as soon as they expire. I am taking down all intimates. Also, the thing with USPS delays. It’s been over a week since I sent items out. I’m fearful of bad ratings for the delay. Thanks for this thread. It has been helpful. I have been listing very low and have accepted one to many low ball offers!

Intimates are something I try not to sell unless new, because yea, weirdos... but this whole covid thing has really taken a toll on sales, shipping sucks, even 3 day priority, and its nothing but lowballs anymore. I am totally with you there! Hopefully this year shapes up to be a bit better. 🤞🤞❤

@wearwolfe Yes. Most are new with tags. A couple of bras I have never worn or only wore once. But it seems like only men are bundling and never buying, which is how I found this thread. I googled why are so many men buying intimate on posh. LoL, but I did hike up many of the products I was selling for far too cheap. Yesterday a lady offered me 12 dollars for a bundle that totaled 65. Posh said you make 9.00! Like how can anyone think 12.00 is sufficient. Ranting a little over here!

@holly147 That may still be a legit new posher. I've had several sales by someone who sees it online and buys it straight out because they just haven't used Poshmark before. I've also had buyers who signed up as a guest and then changed their account name for something more permanent too. But definitely protect yourself. Take plenty of pics of it before you you send, and pics during packing. Just in case.

Someone else mentioned sales being hit hard since Covid and I agree with that along with Poshmark increasing the shipping and a buyer mentioned to me that Poshmark is making people pay their own states sales tax (I guess Poshmark used to pay that). All these extra charges to the customer and Covid...I can tell a decrease in sales.

@holly147 Oh yea, I've seen that too. it's bad when your purchase total can double with taxes and shipping. makes you double think whether you really want something or not. Mercar-i has a bit better shipping, but they're doing the same thing with tax.

@laurenberyl Ugh, really?? There should be a moderator for ratings to allow sellers to have ridiculous ratings removed. Poshmark tells buyers that fit is not a reason for a low rating, but buyers disregard that completely. Fit is entirely an individual thing. It's completely unfair to sellers to give you a bad rating because they don't like the fit. I am so sorry to hear that!

@wearwolfe When I didn't respond to her rating, she left a longer comment about her "whoa is me" experience on the original listing. That was the final straw. I contacted Postmark and reported her for harassment. They showed me how to block her from viewing/commenting on my closet.👍

Watch out for @ sylerlove29 - she bought a dress off of me over a month ago, waited 2 weeks before alerting me that the dress she bought didn’t fit (I provided measurements in the pictures and description), and then flipped out in the comments of the listing when told that she couldn’t return. It’s been over 2 weeks since that took place, and I just got a 1 star from her 5 minutes ago with a novel about how terrible and rude a person I am and making new claims about it being damaged.

@gon13batty I believe it. Honestly, I don't think Poshmark does enough to protect their sellers, or really even cares. I guess it's all about money for them. We just have to do what we can to protect ourselves since they don't even offer sellers a way to refute, especially when it clearly goes against their OWN policies (bad ratings based on fit). I'm so sorry that happened. I sell on multiple sites, and honestly Poshmark is no longer my go-to because of all the issues I've had.

Update: she has made 2 new accounts to harass me and leave nasty comments on my listings telling other buyers to stay away, calling me a criminal and a scammer, calling me cruel, and claiming that I “totally have the ability to refund her, but I just don’t want to.” I wanted to share the profiles here so other sellers are aware. They’re @ allysylarslady and @ allypiratelass. I’ve reported her to posh, but I don’t think they’re going to do anything.

hi I had a buyer of a coach wristlet that I had bought about 6 months b4,was too small for me but was new in box with all tags &price tag from coach store on back of box($75),I had paid $25 for it&sold for $20.so anyway buyer didn't leave any rating,just accepted order.about a month later she posted a 1 star rating with comment,'its fake'.I was so upset!I immediately contacted her to tell her I thought she was mistaken and to please let me kno why she thought this.

This just happened to me... a lady bought my Louis Vuitton dog collar and leash. She wanted some additional information after the purchase. When I didn’t answer her right away she flipped out and called me a cheater and a scammer. I explained to her that Work for the Navy and cannot be on my all of the time. Told her to please not be mean. She haphazardly apologized and still wanted the purchase. She has warned me she will be opening it on video, whatever that means.

I wouldn't get caught up in it, its pretty crazy, also who is looking at your stars? if they're right apologize and move on. if you want to make money selling, don't let someone else keep you from it, there's nothing wrong with wanting your own business and so many people think they know how to do it better but only you know how to run your business!

Purchased a dress & the seller never shipped. I thought she was on vacation or maybe something happened, but after numerous messages with no response I decided to check her other sold listings. That’s when I saw she has a history of posting items & failing to ship when sold. Oh & according to her profile she has been active. Ended up canceling & reporting her. I don’t get the justification of posting something you have no intentions of actually shipping when sold. Bizarre.

I just joined, have not started selling yet and have no purchase history myself and I am no one to be sketch of. I have placed correct credit card info in there. I'm assuming if the sale went through, someone was charged right? why question it?

@alyface I was just cautious about a new buyer. I had a case opened on an item bought from a new buyer with no buying history. Luckily, the case was resolved. I have since sold to people with new accounts and have had no problem.

But, I have heard other seller's experiences. A "buyer" will receive an item and destroy it. Make a claim and say the item is not as described. The seller ends up with no money for the item they sold and a damaged item that they can't resell. I do continue to sell so I guess it's just a risk I take. I will just try to take good pictures and the new video option is nice.

@holly147 thx for clarifying… I’ve read that the customer service is terrible and I’ve read the horror stories. What I plan on doing is taking a pic / vid of packaging… we can’t help what happens w shipping and can’t be blamed once the items are out of our hands.

@alyface No problem. I have taken a video of myself packaging some higher dollar items I've sold just because one instance is all it takes and now I feel suspicious of everyone. I sold a LV handbag shipped to pmhq same day it sold for authentication. The second day that it was still at pm I was going to message me buyer an update that it was still with pm Authenticators and she already had “reposhed” using my photos ( with no credit to my username on them) and she had not even received the item. Why should I have to wait for my funds to be released? Clearly she has accepted the item!

Had a seller, send me a moldy sweater (i had photos of mold on the wrapping paper it was covered in) and smelled like it'd been in a plastic container for A WHILE (plastic chemically smell). When I requested a return/money back she proceeded to complain at me, while explaining how she packed it, which only confirmed the conditions. Ugh.

Hello recently I've had somebody reporting all of my items as replicas which I wasn't aware of until one of the ambassador who took her own time to give me a warning which I greatly appreciate she's an angel!
a bag I listed had a question on color. I added more pics, explain the color in comments. I wrote color in the title and description, buyer left 3⭐ saying the color was wrong THEN admitted that different light made the bag different colors SO she figured out the issue still blamed me.

@skinnymini0327 I am having the exact same problem. Purchased a skirt weeks ago from @ mheffernan3 but she hasn’t shipped and won’t respond to my attempts to contact her. But she shows up as ‘active’ every other day. It’s incredibly frustrating and I am adamant about either getting the skirt I paid for or ensuring she is never able to sell another thing on this site.

@okamiknoxville first time selling through por ah ark and they never deposited my earnings of 1800+ they keep ignoring my request of saying that it was transferred but I never saw a dime of it. They’ve started to ghost me now and when I call customer service they have an automated machine with a voicemail that is full. This is the worst platform I’ve ever used to sell anything.

I sold an NWT Young Fabulous & Broke pants to a woman who was a real piece of work, she made all kinds of false claims they were balled up ( they weren't) they weren't soft enough - when she found out she could not return for any of these reasons she marked them with ink. Then I lot of hysterical theatrics you could see the ink stain in my photos, false, There was no way she could resell it - also wrong luckily for me she is lazy as well as stupid and the tiny stain was easy to remove.

I've been a long-time Poshmark seller and I feel like no matter what I do, I constantly have moderators breathing down my back. I've even been threatened once by a Poshmark moderator about having my Poshmark Ambassador title removed. I sell on Poshmark to re-coop some money from clothes that my family and extended family don't wear. It's become a hobby for me but I feel like I'm being constantly attacked for mistakes that are petty to be pointed out by others. I feel harrassed.

I told her if she didn't want them I was happy to take them back, and she acted like I destroyed her whole world over a $15 pair of used shoes, lol!! She harassed the living h*ll out of me for days, even after Poshmark approved a return, and I offered to take the before Poshmark approved.

Sad thing is, Poshmark and the others usually side with them, regardless of what you say. I always want my buyers to be happy, but some are just impossible.

I'm a buyer... and I received a sweater I spent 53$ on and it was too musty to wear- my chest burnt and my face turned red when I put it on... and poshmark did not authorize a return and gave me ten dollars and told me it was good. It wasn't. It's a big deal to buy an item of clothing that isn't wearable. I felt really upset about what happened.

I am sick of everyone wanting something for nothing. I have no flaw at all nice clothing. I was a realtor in Nashville so my clothing is awesome that I'm selling. .NWT. Dry cleaned etc. I did one show and sold 3 items that cost me over 150 for a whole 22. needless to say no more shows. anxiety aggravation... over cheap ass people.

@okamiknoxville i dont know if I can type it all! So much shadiness!!!! Good luck contacting customer service, they only can copy and past from a manual to reply like a robot! Which never makes any damn sense, robotic and scripted!!!

I was just scammed out of over 1500.00 because the woman has a package that I was over 500 that had to go to Poshmark and someone in the chat said make a second label. The second label had the in it. She accepted those items right away but has to sign for the item from Poshmark and she’s avoiding that and has ghosted me. I contacted Poshmark because I can’t get paid until she receives her items. Does anyone have advice for me without telling me how stupid I am

Im curious about the possibility of being ghosted by Posh. After I sell an item, I don't get any hit on anything. it's as of my account is on hold. Directly after my sale or purchase im on a virtual time out .... This happens alot.

A buyer called @ tvbooven just purchased a pair of lightly used stilettos from me, immediately broke the heel upon receipt and then filed a claim to return. She also called me unscrupulous which would have been laughable if not so irritating. Posh approved the claim 😢
