Spell and the Gypsy List of Copied Garments - Directly from their website • On someone’s post I came across a link to Spell’s website where they list garments of theirs they believe have been copied. I love the brand but I’m still learning. I’m not on FB but seems there is a lot of info from Spell sisters on there. I thought I’d share this list, as it’s the first I’ve come across. I have yet to come across a fake whenbuying something...I have seen a few fake panther jackets and lovebird dresses but those were advertised as so. Hopefully it doesn’t start getting taken over with those fake items on here. Be careful, look at TAGS as well as the fabric, seams, buttons etc 😘

Wow amazing, i buy predominately direct from spell i guess i better hang on to proof of purchases too, i try 2 buy from same posh spell girls 2, its safer that way, i no when i saw a lot of reps., in a closet i stay away, just seems safer, if someone is buying them theh might fakd me out 2, ty 4 posting this , did u get stuff from rosa drop???

There are some amazing (and incredibly knowledgeable ) ladies on the fb how to spot fake spell page, I always "research" their archives before buying anything not from spell directly!

It has been confirmed that this list contains many items that do not actually have fakes in circulation, but rather items for which other companies have just used Spell’s stock photos as their own. Sadly, there are definitely quite a few fakes that are very hard to spot, but the real list is not as daunting as this one. ❤️

@shari527 I’ve bought on here because I don’t have older stuff, but I’ve tried to buy a lot from Spell directly. I did buy too much from the Rosa drop...delirium Maxi dresses, delirium skirt, delirium Mini, Rosa Skirt, doe eyed dress. A couple of pieces in multiple sizes, so I make sure I get what fits. Ouch...but I’ll probably only keep half ☺️🤪. Did you get anything?

@blue_anemone so funny, yes I did, the pink mesh dress its so girly I love it snuck it in a day later when it got restocked, delirium kimono the pink/ red, little strappy mini, sage shorts ,I have bought a bunch of Spell this month a fb sale a few things on eBay and here,so GOOD 4 the month plus s few trades too,truly an addiction

@dancinsasa1978 I’m pretty new to Spell so I’m still learning. @iamgeni on here is very knowledgeable on and very helpful even w/ individual items. She also has a good post with pics of some fakes.

Thank you for posting this. I have contacted Spell so many times about the cheap knockoffs being sold as boutique in many Posh closets. They are using spell’s beautiful photos but when it gets to the actual garment it’s far different. You will never find Spell for $35. It is so limited that when we sell it, it will be expensive.

@themagicwand I hear ya...it’s really hard to know sometimes. I recently bought a Spell Folktown boho dress that turned out to be a fake...even had a fake Spell size tag. Seller said they didn’t know, and thankfully they accepted the return. One post above I note a posher that’s really knowledgeable if you ever have questions.

@pegahposh I found this on Spell website a couple years ago. I’m not sure it has helped me much...if anything is just scarier to see all the fakes they know about.
