There are a lot of websites that sell knock off gear for cheaper and if people trust those sites I am the first to support a good deal, however oftentimes you get what you pay for with online retailers selling knock off outdoor goods made with subpar materials and standards. I stand by my products because I know that they are authentic. This was purchased in person from a big box reputable outdoor retailer.
