@mwestscuba I will be happy to answer any questions you have . My first three suggestions are crucial - follow tons of people so that they may follow you back. Share tons of other Peoples items to parties, so they will share your items to the whole group. Add more items to your closet. Closets with 10+ items have a much better chance of being seen than a closet with a few items. :)

@mwestscuba awesome...did you do any taking in at the hip.? Or anywhere actually? That is my only worry. I am 41" at the hip. If you already had it taken in, I don't think there might be enough fabric for me to have it let out slightly. Typically they build in an inch or two in fabric for that. Do you have similar size hip? sorry for all the questions, this is my dream dress and Im so nervous to buy online.

Still super interested. This is the size I need. Can you tell me if you had it taken in anywhere? And is it white or the dark ivory version. Pictures are hard. The one I had showed cream online but then in person was VERY gold in color (was called ivory?)

Hey there, ready to pull the trigger on this. Just need to know the details about the tailoring, if you had any done? Would you mind taking a few measurements (all with the corset completely tied closed), the widest part of the bust, the smallest at the waist and the widest just below the corset end.

@mwestscuba I'm really interested in the width measurement for the bust waist and widest part near the bottom of the corset (with the corset laced up tight). I know that isn't how it's worn but it will help me to see if I will fit. would you mind placing a tape measure across these areas in a photo of each? and the new pics you added, are those damaged areas? I see one with a stain but I can't tell if the other are damaged or not.

@jlbkroxx the newest pics are above. There are no stains on the gown it had been cleaned and boxed prior to my removing it just a few days ago to get closer pictures of the gown. It has been in a box this entire time in a dry dark room.

For the bust area, I slipped a pillow to look like a body before I measured it, but I’m not a seamstress and I don’t know if I got super accurate measurements

The gown is not a true bright white. Back in the day it may have been referred to as champagne colored, but I think it’s closer to an off-white. Champagne doesn’t seem completely accurate.

@mwestscuba I can tell by the closeups you just posted on your white bedspread, it's not the "champagne" one...and I'm glad. what they called champagne is actually very dark ivory.
Im so close to pulling the trigger. it's just so nerve racking with the sizing. my bust is a few inches larger than the measurement and I saw you even had the corset loosened. I wish you lived in VA. I would drive a few hours to be able to try on. $800 is a lot not knowing if it fits.

@jlbkroxx I get it. Think on it and maybe talk with someone who regularly works on wedding gowns to find out what kind of alterations they can make for you if necessary. For now the dress isn’t going anywhere.

@jlbkroxx I hesitate to come down in price because I know not many of these dresses are left and that it was couture and very unique at the time it came out. It was also my dream dress so I get it. If I have to let it go I’d prefer to let it go to someone who will love it as much as I did. I want to be fair so I will come down to 700, final offer.
