Aloha Tammy! I do like this hat, but I have a small face and head, so I just measured my head and also other hats that I own, and this hat is too large. I also went onto the SD Hat Co. website to view their size chart. Apparently I have the size head of a 5-7 yr old child...21 inches. I sadly have this issue all the time...some hats I can mess around with and try several things to get them to fit, and some I buy and can never do anything with and just never wear them, so I waste my money.

With that said, would you go lower since I already know that this hat is too large for me and that I will have to experiment with different ways to 'hopefully' make it fit? And then if I can't make it fit, I am just stuck with it.

Also, being Poshmark, is this hat new or used? I wear hats ALL THE TIME! I LOVE hats and am known for wearing them! I HAVE a ton of them (upward of at least 60 of them!...seriously, lol), but I honestly have never paid more than $20 for one. I don't want to insult you, but wondering if purchasing this hat and seeing if I can make it fit is a possibility...plus, I must add on the ridiculous Poshmark $6.49 shipping fee...

@gidgetsisland1 I also have a 21” head circumference. I’ve always had the same issue as you with hats being too big. I have a hard time finding sun glasses small enough for my face, too. I usually need to get kids sizes. Lol. I tried on this hat, and by using the inside ties, it is a perfect fit😀

That's so funny...I also have a heck of a time finding sunglasses to fit me and usually have to get kids sizes as well! I'm small, so I'm glad I don't have a big head or big face, but it REALLY DOES make it difficult to find things that fit correctly.

So THIS Surf's Up hat also has inside ties? I am just reading this now...I did not see this comment earlier, so I thought the black floppy hat had ties, but not this one. Do the inside ties have to do with cinching the size of the hat to make it smaller on the head? Or are they ties to tie the hat under your chin?

@gidgetsisland1 yes, they tie inside, so you can make it nice and snug on your head. I also have a 21” head circumference. I tried it on after reading your message about your small head. You can tighten it to as small as you need❤️(The ties are inside, not under your chin)

Wow! That's awesome then...about the inside ties for cinching the hat tighter! I'm REALLY glad that became clear to me...I was almost going to pass on that! I'm sorry about getting carried away like that, but it WAS enjoyable telling you about my Summer and hearing about your Shep/Lab and Bailey! One of my good friends JUST bought me a gift last week...it's a nightshirt that says 'Distracted by Dogs'...so it's obviously a REGULAR thing with me...:D Thanks for being such a dog lover!

I KNOW! I was thinking the same thing...from seriously loving the BEACH, hats, and DOGS to having a small face and small head, needing to buy kids sunglasses to being about the same age...oh, and loving the song 'Summer Breeze', lol!
