sherryweb1 @annadgrace that is a super good idea. I have had a purchase from someone with no listings and only a few comments where people are asking to have their orders accepted by purchaser. Odd thing is they are purchases for the same thing that I am selling, which is leather jeans, very expensive. How do we know if a purchaser like that is legit?

believeinhope @bagsnbistros this apps should have a option to open a case for unfair rate. Like this listing. She can demonstrate wasn’t true, but the unfair rate still. Also rate bad a seller because USPS damage the box is very sad & unfair.

My last rating (an hour ago) didn't read the description or look at the pictures so rated low because the items were in worse shape than she thought 🙄🤦🏽‍♀️ Unfortunately, that's been the common thread. "I didn't read the description."

cugabear @believeinhope That's true. In Poshmark's defense, every situation faces its own difficulties. However, the obvious ones: damaged box, item doesn't fit, they didn't like it..etc are definitely red flags. If possible, I think if a buyer can leave a bad rating for something like that, it should also be on their page record for others to view as well

okrutna @rollierex Happened to me too... Got 3 stars for "seller responsiveness" when I was not asked a single question... And I actually thanked the buyer for their purchase and let them know I would be shipping the package the next business day... What was I supposed to respond to????? How about rating the buyer's responsiveness when my order was not accepted for 3 days so PM released my earnings and only after that I got the 3 star rating... I tell you, lol. Oh well!

pforrestall Right On!!! Poshmark should allow sellers to rate buyers back and A bad rating that is not legit to be removed. The ratings process and accepting of a package should be explained to new users thoroughly before they are allowed to make their first purchase 😢🤦‍♀️

cugabear @fariakarenm You gave a 1 star rating claiming that it was not true to size, I said they ran small and there was a size chart to use for reference. As for the quality, there were not fancy in style but they are plain tee shirt. However okay, I'll take your opinion. You can refile a turn thru Poshmark. I'm currently in the hospital so I can't get to package, I'll have someone else get to it

vr00m Love this! I wish we could rate buyers as well. Just got a 2 star rating for shoes that were worn once with no sign of use, and shipped next day, given purchase time was in the evening that was less than 12 hrs! I’m sorry you didn’t like those practically new shoes at a discounted price! Went from 5 star to 4.9 because someone was in a bad mood!

jenngranito I received 1 star from my 2nd sale! Customer insinuated that I didn’t send correct product! I was so upset! I commented to the posher on her meet the posher page. I told her she should have done her due diligence and looked at my pics and description, and advise PM she’was not happy within the 3 days and not on the 5th day. I emailed PM customer support, and told them there is no value in a one sided feedback system. I’m sorry but the customer is not always right.

Ive received less than 5 bcz even though I shipped right away, PO lost it or took too to get it there Tracking shows it shipped right away! Same w/fit I post size tag, pics of me measuring & measurements But "didn't fit " or "don't like how it fits" I've also had a poor rating bcz they found it cheaper somewhere after buying it 🤦‍♀️ Im starting to block. I'm a very fair Seller who's no longer going to sell to unfair buyers!

I just got a one star rating because the buyer never reported that they didn’t get an item, but not after the app says it’s delivered they are claiming they didn’t receive it. If it’s true this sucks, but it has nothing to do with me. I send out your package and someone in another state at your home takes it and you give me a poor rating and posh allows it

easyglam When I told posh about the recent rating for an item that was delivered that they can’t find at their house they responded that they can’t remove but it’s fine because no one will see it and if I have enough good ratings it will balance out. I recently had a buyer straight up steal something from the package after a return for a bundle with a shirt that had a small stain on it. The buyer was told of the small stain before purchase and was given it for free because of it

easyglam I told her I would throw the shirt in the bundle for free, which I did. I’m guessing the clothes didn’t fit her right so she opened a case based on the free shirt she got. Posh approved it even though in comments repurchase I tell her about the stain. She returned it but stole the earrings I sent her. I reported to posh and they didn’t care. They are full of it , a corporation with a bunch of canned responses they email us back when we express concern as sellers

I mean you could always message Poshmark yourself to see what they say, but as it stands there isn’t a return policy for that. So as courtesy I took off vacay mode (I had it on because of extended medical treatments, but I needed the money) and sold the item. She opens a posh case saying it’s not the same dress and the model is wearing and it has spots in some area (I put that in the photos and description) so she wants a refund

cugabear @drebottini part 2 So I put a stock photo and then I put me in the modeling the dress in the other pics. She insisted it’s not the same one. Now my mom is selling the dress on her account with just me modeling the dress. He buyer screenshot my mom’s listing and said it was my listing that I still had up for sale and sent the wrong dress. My mom takes care of me and didn’t get a chance to get rid of the listing.

I see it daily upon receiving packages with basically rocks in a box..which I do rate upon, but In reality there are so many that signs up to sell & have no ideal it's just more for what Poshmark stands for. 😁🧡

I just got a 2 star rating. listed the shirt in used condition with some pilling. buyer just gave me a low rating said it "smelled like smoke (I don't smoke so no it didn't) and clearly it is has been washed and dried" uhm yeah it was a used shirt I hope it's been washed and dried. sorry I didn't sell a dirty shirt, like what???

I love giving five star ratings and have actually never given a less than 5 star review, but I just received a swimsuit that I got for a good price, fast shipping, and is in great condition, except for the fact that it smells SO strongly of cigarette smoke. Is this grounds to deduct a star? I had no issues with the transaction aside from this and I want to keep the suit, but this is a problem for me and I'm worried the smell won't come out in the wash...I don't want to be rude!

cugabear @edevai1 smoke smell and pet free or not is something very important to mention. When it’s not mentioned (and the buyer does not ask) there initially thought is that there is neither pets nor smoke. In my opinion it’s a key element because someone’s health could be severely impacted. I I understand that was not the case for you, but the principle still stands.

cugabear @gift_wrap_lady Depending on how you work your business, you can offer her a discount on her next time around purchasing from you. Or you can do a free gift. These are just incentives to the buyer to bump up the rating. Because it sounds like there is no chance that the tags could falling out

ghostgirldesign I just got my first one star rating because the customer broke the earrings. They were in brand new, unworn condition when I sent them to her, and she initially gave me a 5 star rating, but changed it after she broke them. I think we should be able to contest ratings on here, because I shouldn't have to have my closet suffer because of customer error.

sabrihui Just got a 1 star rating from a buyer who said they didn’t receive their order even though tracking says it was delivered over 2 weeks ago. To me it’s a little suspicious she waited over 2 weeks to say she didn’t receive the order. Gave her the tracking number which showed I shipped the day right after she ordered but I get a low rating for ship time. What makes it even worse is that this person is supposedly a posh ambassador🤦‍♀️. How does she not know better than to blame the seller!

tlsilva A buyer gave me a four star rating, and said it was because there was no thank you note and I didn’t wrap the item. She picked “item cleanliness” as the complaint, the items were clean. 🤦🏻‍♀️

tiffg83 Well, I just received my first 1 star rating. Because the shoes didn't fit, even though the size in the listing was correct. They also said I could improve my item description!?! The shoes were size 7.5 and the shoes were listed as size 7.5 🤦‍♀️ At least we can block bad buyers.

bkb1 Sometimes you can do everything perfect & its still not good enough. It use to bother me. But now I think 🤔 some people are just not happy & want to share there negativity. 😠 I have met so many nice people & a few rude ones, ( just like life) Always nice to receive 5 Stars & a heartfelt love note 💕 If not someone else will wander in your closet. 😊

shansflipshop I just got a one star rating for a brand new dress with tags and she cited the reason for one star was item description because it fit more like a size 4 than the 6 it was listed as (tag on the dress says size 6). First one star rating and super annoying because I heavily knocked down the price to $10 for her ....

rainaboo441 this just happened to me today! i got 2 stars because packaging was damaged and opened upon arrival which would be USPS fault and not mine. really upsets me because i’ve only sold a few things so far and i’m pretty new to poshmark and i don’t want that rating to deter future buyers. i wish we could dispute or appeal ratings.

e_deforest @rollierex I love this post. My very first customer gave me a 1 star rating which crushed me being since I was so new to posh. She stated the bras were worn (yes, it said gently used and that they had been washed). She also added that they didn’t fit well (her boobs not fitting the bra size she supposedly wears isn’t my fault).

danielleattire If someone purchases your item then dings your rating by saying the problem was "item cleanliness" then literally reposhes it right after and in the description says it's in perfect condition... Should I block this person? If I block them can they change the rating they gave me and make it even lower?

philfashionista I feel like this is happening more and more lately. I am seeing a lot 1st time buyers knocking off stars because something is not in NWT condition even though it’s clearly stated the item is preloved. They don’t seem to understand that Poshmark isn’t Amazon and they are angry when items aren’t brand new. They forget that the reason they got the item at such a good price is because it is preloved.

deca30 I appreciate this post. I had a low star rating left for me on a brand new tote. Item new with tags, made of jute, described perfectly & discounted for the buyer. She left very negative feedback. I was so upset I contacted PM and basically it was "we're sorry about your luck"

Received 3 stars! Because, on a less than 15$ order I didn't send any free treats the person had apparently grown accustom to receiving.

pjmoneybags @shoebox8402 Someone just gave me a I star rating stating item description & wrong size. The ring I sold was a ring I bought for myself size 6 that I wore on my size 6 ring finger same as all my other size 6 rings and it fit me perfectly. The buyer claimed the ring was at least a size 7 1/2 or 8 which I know was Incorrect I tried it on again before I packaged it.I have sold other of my size 6 rings, never any complaint about the size being wrong.

cugabear @pjmoneybags I’ve also noticed that those who buy an item for a special occasion and the item doesn’t fit, EVEN IF EVERY MEASUREMENT WAS LISTED CORRECTLY…..the bear claws come out of the buyer. The disappointment turns into rage and from rage gaslighting. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

pjmoneybags @cugabear A buyer broke a good bangle & reported it as being received that way. I pi submitted pictures to CS of the bracelet being packaged unbroken in perfect condition & within a few hours they sided with the buyer & refunded them.I received my perfectly good bracelet back broken. The way it was broken had to have been on purpose. I was really upset about that one & I complained to CS. They gave me a $5 credit. That really made me a little leary about the whole process.😬

abigdealhere Totally agree. If the measurements are in the listing and are correct, there is no justification for leaving bad review if clothing doesn't fit. Also, if the post office is slow, a bad rating here just hurts the Posh Seller. The place to put that bad rating is with the postal service.
