ladyarachnid @anmari628 Wow! All of ours are rescues also, my dog was 1 of a litter of 10 puppies born to a stray mama in my living room. He's 11 now and is my best buddy. Tom (in the photo) is FIV positive and we have to be extra careful to keep him healthy. But they're like our kids, you know?

ladyarachnid @sfoglesong --our house is 80 years old so it's dusty anyway...but the up side is that we only have hardwood floors which are super easy to vacuum. I do appreciate the tip about the Shark as I'm not joking about probably having to retire the Dirt Devil soon. It actually has been a really good vacuum and has lasted me about 20 years!

I go over everything with Scotch Guard rollers before I send them out and try and make sure there's no pet hair but I'm also not 100% perfect.

I'm also legally blind without glasses. it's not an excuse but my very first sale was only a 4 star because I missed some cat hair inside the shoe. the shoes were in the factory sent box and everything was ran over with a lint roller and cleaned out. I just missed inside the shoe. totally my fault but I was absolutely mortified. I get stuff sometimes with a few random animal hairs.. it honestly doesnt even phase me.

ergochloes my cat has a tendency to like silk, cashmere, etc...anytime he's managed to get in my studio and Ive left something of the sort within reach of his sharp little paws I've found snags and small holes, so sadly they've been ruined for sale. ladyarachnid @nastygalwannabe You'd be surprised at how many people just lose it if there's a hair (animal or otherwise) on their purchases. I sold a gorgeous black wool blazer to a woman who said it was "covered" in pet hair and gave me a horrible rating, that's when I decided to make this listing. I try to make sure all my items are clean before shipping but I'm not a magician! 🤣

fira54 @ladyarachnid Same here! I wound up buying one of those portable clothing racks and put it in a room the cats don't go in much and that has really helped me keep things from getting hairy. Everything else gets boxed which helps too...just can't let anything touch the couch, bed or floor or then it's game over!! 🤣🤣🤣

ladyarachnid @fira54 No problem, I get them on Amazon and the 11x14 size will hold most tops/dresses/skirts. I keep a few bigger ones around for things like jackets and big bulky sweaters.

I used to have hedgehogs and a skunk before I got married. My goal in life is to have my own petting zoo, but I don't want to live in the country. It's kind of not realistic.

ladyarachnid @outlet_fashion I've always said if I won the lottery I would move to the country and start an animal rescue sanctuary. Back when I was in my 20's I actually did work for the Knoxville Zoo, mainly in their administrative office but they let me work in the petting zoo for a while and I loved it. Spent most of my days surrounded by goats and a few llamas. It was lovely...too bad it didn't pay anything and no health insurance so eventually I had to move on.

ladyarachnid @fashionradical Right! I check my inventory when it comes in and do the lint roller, then put in plastic garment bags and into storage totes. I know some people don't like the plastic bags because of the waste they generate and it can cause odors with some fabrics, but I HAVE to do it. We have 5 cats and a very fuzzy long-haired dog and it would just not work to leave my inventory unprotected!

ladyarachnid @renegade47 Thanks, my husband has a stepson from a previous marriage but neither one of us ever had human kids, so the furries are definitely our children. We are also feeding 3 strays, 2 ferals and one that may just be posing as a stray to get extra food. :) I'm going to upload a photo of Luna...we thought he was a girl when he first showed up at the house but then a few months later evidence appeared that indicated he was in fact a boy. :) I absolutely adore him and he's rotten as Hell.

I sold a pair of Italian motorcycle boots. buyer wrote she loved them, but they reeked of cigarettes like I'd been hanging out in bars bc she knew what cigarettes smelled like. What?!? I wore them for one week on vacation overseas, and they'd been cleaned & stored in original packaging. Cigarettes & bars. Yep . hanging out with motorcycle gangs! lol
