aerofanatic3 I have a question regarding proper selling etiquette and please forgive me because I’m new. I had a buyer confirm she wanted to purchase and would be paying the following day, however, I then had another offer for 200 more. Is a sale final when one buyer gives a “promise to pay” or is it still on the table until the purchase is made?

The original promise to pay may be willing to pay more as well! Never forget to think of yourself and what’s best for YOU when selling!

happygoliving Hey sweets, I’m really sorry about the flaws in the dresses! Every one came out of my personal closet (I knew a guy that worked at Romeo and Juliet couture), and a lot of them have never even been worn. many very lightly worn. I would never have imagined there were so many flaws! I did not inspect those dresses well because they did come out of my closet and I wouldn’t have thought anything was wrong with them. Not intentionally misleading, I can assure you.

distressedbeaut @vickyreel it won’t go directly to your banks it will accumulate in your Poshmark balance. You’ll be able to transfer it to your bank from there. If you go to your main menu and push “balance” you’ll see how much is pending and how much is on your account. You can’t transfer until the seller accepts the item and the money is released to your accounf

Also don’t be afraid to list ur items 4 a higher price than what u want— leaves u room 2 send offers & have sells. Also keep in mind that ppl shop on Posh to get a deal. So, the more Flexible u can be—W/O HURTING URSELF— the more U’ll sell. 😊 hope this helps! 😃

distressedbeaut @lolas_boutique_ yes with posh fees it gets really hard to make a profit by just pricing what you want out of it. A lot of sellers don’t send offers they price it for what they want and make a listing saying no offers sent, firm prices and they just roll with it. However, I find that offers are definitely the easiest and quickest way to sell :) I’ll think about it and see if I can think of anything else :)

distressedbeaut @kanhaka I have honestly no idea. I’ve had items sent back to me once before and I tried contacting the buyer and 4 months later they’ve never responded. I had no idea anything was wrong. Maybe posh will give us another shipping label but I’m not sure as it was USPS error. I do know that you can file a claim with USPS as these packages are insured though and I would definitely do that now and not wait for posh’s response as they can take 3 days or longer to get back to you

distressedbeaut @upstairs_attic yes we do. But it depends on your certain tax situation. You really need to talk to a tax professional. Basically keep track of everything, all your expenses regarding your business(gas, mileage, cost of goods, supplies , storage rent etc) and hold back 30-40% of your net income for taxes(chances are you’ll pay less than that but be prepared). Get a tax accountant ASAP
