I think some people are just trying to yank somebody's chain or they're oblivious, either situation isn't likely to end in a great sale. 🤣

ladyarachnid @moongoddess7 I didn't want to post anymore on that person's listing in case she decides to retaliate and report all my listings as fakes (which has happened to me before, incidentally). The number of scam accounts out there is unreal, mostly high end bags for under $500, and the scam is they send out the Posh label on something else like a piece of junk mail so it shows your "bag" was delivered and in 3 days they get the money. Just sickening.

ladyarachnid @moongoddess7 I talked to one woman who said she received what was supposedly a "thank you" gift from Amazon, just a plain face mask, but it was from the scammer. He/she had cut any identifying information off the Posh label but it showed that her item had been delivered. Unfortunately she didn't notice until after the 3 day window had passed and after that Posh won't accept a case. She actually had to go through the Federal Trade Commission, and Amazon got involved because...

ladyarachnid @moongoddess7 the scammer had used their name to conceal the fraud. Just amazing the lengths people will go to in order to steal money! I have actually been taking a little time each evening to report some of them, it's pretty easy to spot. If you see a Gucci bag for $268 and it's the only item the person has for sale and there are copies of the same photo all over PM it's a scammer.

fashionradical I’ve been getting a lot of this happening lately. Sometimes I just want to decline, but I stand firm on my lowest. It’s just so frustrating. I find usually these people are new buyers and not selling on Posh.

ladyarachnid @lasvegasnv Occasionally I've had lowballs that turned into a sale, but that's normally the exception, maybe noobs who just don't understand that it's rude to offer 50% of what you're asking. But active sellers who do it...nah. Block and forget about it. I love price policers, check out my Mary J. Blige listing that I created in honor of the "but it was on clearance for $$$ on the website" people. Don't care, all I know is how much I have to sell something for to avoid a loss.

justjenrocks @ladyarachnid I feel better about it on both ends unless it's something I've already priced as low as I want to go. It makes a big difference with weighted items. It allows the buyer and seller just coming to a better firm price without cutting more of your earnings. If it's something someone really wants $7 isn't bad on shipping.

ladyarachnid @justjenrocks about 99% of my sales are generated after offering discounts including discounted shipping and I've traditionally priced my items to allow for that. Keeping my prices just a little higher helps me avoid dealing with lowballs, too, I think. But I appreciate the different perspective, I can't read my buyers' minds and may try the 1 item bundle approach and see how it goes! Thanks for the input! 🖤

ladyarachnid @prezli83 I think it was less of a good attitude and more a mother that had OCD and would throw anything out that wasn't gathering dust and/or nailed down. 😂 I do have a few things left from my stint as a DJ in a goth club here in town, actually met my hubby there and he taught me how to spin. ladyarachnid @voodoo_looli I hate to say this but that is completely normal. A lot of people are just window shopping, they like stuff from your closet but don't have any intention of buying. I have one woman who seriously has liked 180 items from my closet over the years and has only bought from me once. The way to get rid of window shoppers is to relist frequently, that way you get new eyes on your items. I can't tell you the number of times I've gotten a sale after relisting.

ladyarachnid @voodoo_looli If you have an item that's been in your closet for 60 days or more all you have to do is make a copy of it, take the word "COPY" out of the title, put the price back up where you want it, and then list it and it will show up as a brand new listing. Easy peasy (don't forget to delete the old listing after that).

ladyarachnid @voodoo_looli Yep, occasionally the same people will come back and like the item again especially if it's an alt brand, but who cares if they're not buying? :) Just make sure you take the word copy out of your listing, there are some Poshmark vigilantes out there who like to report anything with the word "copy" in it as a fake. 🙄 Let me know if you need help with the process. I use a desktop most of the time but it's just as easy to do on your phone app.
