@silverruby Since it's a cardigan, I laid it flat on a table and measured it using the back of the cardigan, arm pit to arm pit and it measures 22" I did not stretch it but it does have some stretch to it.

I usually wear a large. Is the medium a forgiving medium with some room. Or is it a pretty standard medium?

@dragonmom76 Good morning. I bounce in between a L and XL depending on the cut of clothing. I just put this Medium on to see how it feels and I am actually shocked, it only feels slightly tight in the back of the shoulders. The arms are good and there's plenty of material to wrap around the front. In my opinion, if you wear L, then I think you'd be fine in a Medium. If you are still not sure, I do have a Large in the Charcoal Gray available. ♡ Have a good weekend! Lisa
