@riglem65 My dad is hanging in there. We talk every day and he seems to be getting better each week. We both hit a rough patch a few weeks ago and just cried on the phone together. My mom left us a few financial mysteries (not good ones) and that’s kept us occupied. We’re still trying to finalize my grandparent’s (her parents) estate. My mom and uncle were trying to finalize it when she passed away.

It’s been a rough several years😥🥺 How has your family been? I’m not sure how close you were to your family member who passed away, but is everyone okay?

@riglem65 So yeah, I kept having reactions and we couldn’t figure out what was triggering them. My allergist tested me for tons of food and I kept coming back negative. So, I decided we should test herbs and spices. She was like, “We’re in no-man’s-land. I don’t know anyone with spice allergies.” I came back positive for coconut, vanilla, rosemary and basil😩😩 The basil wasn’t a big deal because I actually prefer oregano, but the other three were just about devastating!

@riglem65 It’s virtually impossible to avoid coconut and vanilla. They’re literally in just about everything!! Especially coconut. But, man I miss vanilla, and that’s what I’m highly allergic to 🥺 As far as I know, the only substitutes in baking are maple syrup, rum and bourbon. I’m going to have a lot of 21 & up desserts around here!🤣🤣

@chrismbc Oh MAN alive! You poor thing!! I’d be crushed too! I LOVE rosemary on anything and I have these chilled vanilla lattes that Starbucks puts out most mornings. I gave up real java a long time ago and now I’m over the moon for these expensive, (likely ineffective, as far as actually waking you up goes) chilly addictive monsters! 😆😆😆 Well spent posh dollars? I think NOT!
