standoutstaples @emilydaehtop great info, Emily! 👌🏻😘 I got burnt on a fake 1 for myself at a local upscale estate sale, but it wasn’t very popular model, looked very legit. And also after getting a present of a fake Hermes scarf (as it appeared later), learnt a lot how to spot a real one (hand-rolled edges, never machine stitched) 😜

She came back that night and said she didn’t know her scarf was rare, she took down the listing! I wish I had just bought it ! It was only 150

cindytexan @emilydaehtop I know!!!i got on a scarf hunt and found 9 that I bought. Mainly bc they were beautiful and I thought 120-220 was pretty good pricing. Then I found out they get faked a lot. I think I might own two fakes. Can’t sell them. But I like them all I They are so lyrical, I cannot get over how they make them, by hand with each color pass. Some scarves take 1700 hours to make. They can have 4 people working on the same scarf!

cindytexan @emilydaehtop oh I just found a Facebook group that prints real and fakes! In their images. And shows info on new printer changes on reissued scarves. I like the idea of the original , even if there is a spot or smudge from 45 years ago!

sarahscott950 I love that people are helping others be aware!!! There are so many fakes that are actually well made and completely look legit but comes down to one or two little things to distinguish a real from a fake. Such as the shape of the R above the Louis Vuitton stamp. Also. There are things that can be misleading like on a neverfull pm monogram the straps cover the LV but they completely cover it. If the LV is hallway covered then it’s not real

late_shopper @mguerra34 seller posted a fake LV montsouris, priced it at $900 and wrote 100% authentic. I hope Poshmark blocks sellers who post fake items, I feel bad for buyers who gets scammed on here.
