celticgatorgal Hey Angelica! Thanks for shopping with me. When I was boxing up the pea coat you bought I noticed a tear in the lining. I have no idea how it got there. I haven’t worn that coat since we moved to Florida. It’s probably an easy fix for someone who sews. I wanted to check with you before shipping it out though.

celticgatorgal @ajireveles it’s about 4 inches long and appears to be along a seam which is why I think it could be easily repaired. It definitely doesn’t impact how the coat looks on or it’s warmth. I am probably the worst person at sewing ever or I’d fix it. I think it wasn’t apparent just hanging but I was moving the coat around quite a bit getting rid of lint when I noticed it. The way I see it there are several options.

celticgatorgal @ajireveles 1. I send it as is 2. I see if my mother can do the repair before I send it she is a good seamstress but it might take a while as she tends to be a very busy person 3. I cancel the order and you’d get your money back. If that is the case perhaps we could negotiate a different price. I still think it’s a great deal at the price you paid even with the tear in the seam. Please let me know what you want to do.

celticgatorgal @ajireveles I just showed it to her. She says she will do the repair by hand as she’d have to take everything apart to do it by machine. She’ll have it done by Saturday evening when we meet for dinner. I’ll send it out Sunday so it’ll be on it’s way to you Monday.

celticgatorgal @ajireveles my mom finished the repair and it looks good but says she thinks the satin might unravel with the hand stitching so she wants a couple of extra days to go in from the inside and use her sewing machine. I wanted to check and see what you prefer.
