The truth is they mix the fake in with the real merchandise so you have to figure it all out for yourself . When poshmark has taken my items they did check the tags to make sure they are real you can see from the marks on the tags

But you can go to my listings and sort “all listings” available and sold. Look at the pics. Forget about the tags - you can tell by looking at the stones and chains. 👍🏻 all of my items were purchased by me, in individual pieces at a retail store. Anything bought in “lots” is suspect. 😒

If asked, item is less than cost to return, Seller sold fraudulently, you don’t have to return, (but you can legitimately sell taking off heart at end of extender &. Faux tags, because very few are real replicas, the tag & heart are faux only) so you will get your $$ refunded & sell for a profit.)

Literally, I reported a seller countless times for “adult products” that included some verbiage suggesting rape/sexual assault. It was only deleted when I posted it on Twitter and tagged manesh, poshmark, etc. That’s an egregious example which took that level of effort to have it removed. And this is a platform comprised of mainly females and that’s allowed to be sold?! Disgusting. Rant over 😉

iloveaerobics @dawnmaciver ugh. I don’t have children - two young nephews tho - not old enough to be on the web. I can’t imagine as a parent the fear of what your kids are potentially exposed to. In all fairness, there is some nasty stuff for sale, but I’ve rarely come across it. Endless fakes and gross (as in dirty, worn out ), but the kind of stuff explained above isn’t common. Poshmark is horrible at maintaining integrity and standards. They earn a solid “F”!!!

mkandmore My favorite is when a buyer purchases something fake and returns it and the seller is allowed to repost it right away. Michael Kors and Betsey jewelry has tons of fakes. Why doesn’t Posh hire people who know the difference instead of asking people to help make this a safe sight to sell on.. Seriously? mkandmore All I get is a canned response,never a direct answer and so it is like talking to the wall. All the issues are skirted around when it comes to getting a direct answer. Luckily I have had few returns,none fake but a few dirty and ripped items. The biggest issue is getting some sellers to respond and at the very least let you know they are not ever going to send your item. It takes quite awhile to get your money back. These sellers should not be able to sell on here. But? They are still here.

I asked the seller about it and she deleted my comment. I wanted her to explain to me if it was authentic or not. After she deleted my comment, I contacted PM! She said she would refund me, she has not done so!

You must, MUST not accept the order, but file the complaint first, and let poshMark work it out with the seller. Do not accept the order until you hear from Poshmark. They will instruct you. No pictures have been posted because this was a gift. I didn’t want my sisters to see it!

My understanding is this is against the law and why these people cannot hire competent help who can spot a fake and do something about it is beyond me. I think the only thing motivates Manish is the DOLLAR! If I ever received a response that responded directly to why do you allow FAKES I would faint. I have been selling since 2004 and seriously I just cannot comprehend this. Luckily I can spot a fake and only have had to return disgusting merchandise.

I used to sell just Betsey because i lived in Vegas and could easily get great pieces because I worked as a concierge just outside Macys at the Fashion Show Mall. That was before she sold her line of jewelry. Also there was a Betsey store there too. I mostly sell on E because I get more buyers willing to pay a decent price and very few of my items are used.

Lately I’ve seen people putting cheap fakes on real Betsey tags. People literally label everything Betsey & most buyers don’t have a clue. Keep up sharing :) Good people have good things happen. londonmodgrl Thank you so much for posting this! I have never bought BJ jewelry but fell down a rabbit hole after seeing some pieces i really liked. The last two hours I have been “liking” and bundling pieces. Now I have to go back and see if i can tell whats fake. Some now seem more obvious but if you have never owned a piece before, it is tricky. Anyway thank you so much for this PSA!

iloveaerobics @londonmodgrl Yw. I’ve totally given up on poshmark. They’ve embraced all the dupes and ruined the platform. There’s entire closets with all fakes. It’s sickening.
