jgajewski @teed38 check out the last two photos. It looks exactly like the label but that is not my name or my address..but they used the tracking. The PO people know me very well so the supervisor went and found the package. It originated in NJ!!

jgajewski @teed38 yeah I know. The last time back I’m October I chased the mail lady down the road and we exchanged numbers. They put an abandoned home address on it. This time the person sent it to someone down the road that opened it but she tracked it down for me. These people are out of control😑

Jun 08Reply
jgajewski
jgajewski @natemunk what stinks about that is posh does not protect you on trades. There isn’t really much you can do. This situation I posted here was an actual purchase I made. I wish I could be more help. I’ve been burned in trades..that is why I don’t do them anymore.

pearmk6
pearmk6 Hi thanks for this information but it’s up to the person too go and file the complaint or posh and go through the work. I say this because similar situation happened to a friend but when she talk to the PO and a supervisor they told her it’s not tampering with mail when the person mails something from them to you because it started off as their property and how does the post office know that you did not tell the to send to a different address
Jun 09Reply
jgajewski
jgajewski @pearmk6 I bought the item through Poshmark. The item was sent to a strangers address but in the system it showed that it was delivered to me.
Jun 09Reply
pearmk6
pearmk6 I was shocked when she told me. Do not to say don’t report but it is not very simple and cut and dry. In the case with my friend she just got her money back and just moved on so she was fine. But how is posh handling this would be my question? They would need to go after the people who they pay. It’s a mess. I don’t know I just try to stay minding my own business. Happy Sunday
Jun 09Reply
jgajewski
jgajewski @pearmk6 be honest I’m very confused about your comments. Especially when you say you’re trying to mind your own business. I Posted my experience(it has happened twice!) This information is to “inform” Anyone can take it or leave it😁
Jun 09Reply
pearmk6
pearmk6 @jgajewski . I get it that what we asked? And we said that was tampering right and they said no because they person who sent whatever they sent out belong to them and how could the post office prove that my friend did not tell that send to change the address because people send gifts to people all the time
Jun 09Reply
jgajewski
jgajewski @pearmk6 I guess I’m not following you about your friends situation. I made the purchase THROUGH Poshmark app..not a second party or trade. I think we might be talking about two different situations🙃
Jun 09Reply
pearmk6
pearmk6 How could the post office prove that my friend did not say that this is a gift sent it to this address. They told us people do that all the time. It would actually be up to a company like posh or eBay to real make the case. I hope that’s better said.
Jun 09Reply
jgajewski
jgajewski @pearmk6 sending gifts and making a purchase through a company are two different things💜
Jun 09Reply
jgajewski
jgajewski @pearmk6 I made my case through Poshmark and I received my money back. This is posted to warn scammers not to mess with me or waste my time because they will not succeed in scamming me:)
Jun 09Reply
pearmk6
pearmk6 @jgajewski . When I said mind my own business I’m just saying me on Poshmark not anything bad to you. Sorry if I confused you here my apologies. What happened is my friend purchase a item from a selling app like posh but not posh. They person sent the item to a wrong address and got the money. We went together to track it because it said it was delivered her package. After getting it the package tracked we went to ask questions
Jun 09Reply
jgajewski
jgajewski @pearmk6 it’s ok sorry about the confusion. Was your friend not able to get their money back through the app?
Jun 09Reply
pearmk6
pearmk6 And that’s when we were told it’s not tampering from the part of the person who sent the package out. Because they did send a package right but the issue now is how do you prove that you the buyer did not tell that person to send it somewhere else because it’s a gift or I’m going to be at this house can you send it to this address
Jun 09Reply
pearmk6
pearmk6 @jgajewski . I get it you are not messing around with the scammers I saw your post because I actually was looking at your earrings and I just was adding my experience to what we asked about the situation. We have crazy people in the world. I’m just going to keep hoping for the best.
Jun 09Reply

jd128919
jd128919 I’m curious how this scam would work. Doesn’t the post office just scan the barcode not read the address? Why would the person ship to another address just to have it marked delivered when you have to ok the package so they get their funds? I guess they are playing on the fact that it is more likely a buyer is lying about a package being delivered even though it is marked delivered.
Nov 22Reply
jd128919
jd128919 Which I guess is a clever angle. But no seller is just going to let it go. I wonder if Posh has any way of holding the money in a situation like this to prevent this kind of scam being profitable for the scammer. The second they do, it’ll become widespread. I’m just so confused about them changing the address
Nov 22Reply
jd128919
jd128919 Maybe it does read the barcode but the mailman actually looks at the address written on it? You think the scammer would have to worry about whoever does receive the package contacting the company or telling the mailman something is wrong. I’m so confused by it, and now worried! I want to understand so I can know the signs of someone running this scam.
Nov 22Reply

cassiej8 Hey hun, I have a question about this! I was just scammed by someone on posh and they blocked me already but I am curious if there's anything I can do. Your snapshots gave me some hope though... this person (makeuploverzxo) purchased an authentic HUDA palette off my closet. They filed a claim saying it was smashed and...
Nov 24Reply
cassiej8
cassiej8 posh approved them of a return because the makeup was swatched... I admit, I didn't read through everything that wasn't allowed, I just followed the lead of other poshers and their listings thinking it was allowed. however, this person sent me back a dupe of a HUDA rose gold palette. Posh said they cant do anything for me because I was wrong for not reading... but this person used USPS to steal and transfer illegal, fake merch.

winniez_ Hey! Can I get some advice? I just sold 2 bikinis to a buyer and she bundled them, paid without offering, and it’s usually fine but her account is super suspicious. The account was made June 2020, no photos, shares, VERY minimal followers, no love notes, and no listings (not even the about me one). Of course I haven’t sent them out yet because of how late it is but an idk what to think. I haven’t dealt with any scammers and I want to prevent it 😬
Jun 18Reply
jgajewski
jgajewski @winniez_ To be honest everyone has to start somewhere. It Doesn’t necessarily mean she’s a scammer.. it might just mean that she just wants to buy and not sell. If you are strictly a customer here I don’t really see the need to share because you’re not trying to create a network..that’s our job as sellers. in this situation I would say go with your gut.. that’s really the best advice I can give💜 ...

They were able to make it look like it was delivered to me! All of the fakes and scams make me so mad🤬 Did Yours go to a different address? Were you able to track it down?
Mar 07Reply
hmaltese33
hmaltese33 @jgajewski say it showed delivered. I went to the post office and the manager was able to look up the GPS info of the delivery and figured out it wasn't delivered to me. I would have probably thought maybe it was just a mistake but I received 4 other poshmark packages that day just fine and for one to be delivered to the wrong address 30 minutes before the others was a red flag. I never received or saw the package but I guess either usps or poshmark was able to determine it was a scam!
Mar 07Reply
hmaltese33
hmaltese33 @jgajewski it was a brand new account with only one listing that was a great deal. I should have been more cautious but I have purchased before from brand new profiled and had no issue. I was nervous I would be out the $300 but I was also confident that it was not delivered because I was outside of my home during the time it was supposedly delivered. I wonder if some people just assume the package was stolen or something since it says it was delivered?

jgajewski @cabooklover I’ve had a few AUTHENTIC items not go through posh. One item I Relisted and it went through the second time& it sold for $300 less. Ever since they’ve went public this is gotten way worse. If they wanna be a publicly traded company then they need to step up their customer service. STILL do not have a phone number or reliable response time. It’s gettin to be not worth it😔
Jun 04Reply
findsbyfelicia
findsbyfelicia @jgajewski I’ve seen reputable sellers (the few I trust) say that as well! I just returned a bottega bag because the quality was significantly represented and the post office status (after one delivery attempt) hasn’t updated in three days. Posh’s response time? 2 days. 😤 Unrelated, if you ever sell more McQueen bee items, let me know!!

sallyma101 I need help! I just got scammed by a seller which Poshmark deleted after I purchased the Item. I haven’t received my package but it was marked delivered on August 9. I paid 94 for it. I thought it was tampering at first and opened two cases to the USPS. Now from doing more research I think it’s the sellers fault they scammed me. I don’t know where is the fake package being sent to. I am sure someone has opened it and found some empty tin bottles.
Aug 14Reply
ashleysea206
ashleysea206 You have to be careful about selling to scammers too! They say something was wrong and return an empty box & try to keep the item & get their money back. It’s their word against yours. I had a new user buy something from me and file a claim. Messaged me from the purchasers account. Said she didn’t order it. Claimed it got delivered to an old address. But she included a picture of the item with correct label. 😂

shopfancyfresh Wow, so this happens often! I was scammed by a seller who sold me an OLD moldy blender inside of a box that was supposed to be a brand new nutribullet. When I received it,I tried to contact her and was blocked‼️.So I contacted poshmark n she pretended she didn’t block me smh & claimed she was “restricted” bc of my report lol I said I didn’t report you until AFTER I saw you blocked me. She insulted my intelligence & PM won’t issue my refund until the scammer gets her garbage back smh
Oct 23Reply
shopfancyfresh
shopfancyfresh I also shared your listing to make others aware. Poshmark does not do a good job at shutting these accounts down. 1 scam should be more than enough. I have provided pictures, and I even have a video of me opening the box to prove that what she did was deliberate and blatant. I will post on my page. I tried to give her a chance to do the right thing.
Oct 23Reply
shopfancyfresh
shopfancyfresh @sallyma101 I’m sorry this happened to you. poshmark didn’t delete the person, they probably blocked you and that’s what happened to me. Poshmark rarely deletes a member because they don’t really take sides. I’m currently fighting to get my money back from someone who purposely sent me an old used moldy blender she didn’t want, in place of a listing that was supposed to be a brand new nutribullet. I’m becoming wary of this place.

jgajewski
jgajewski @shopfancyfresh Poshmark has got to get better about all these scammer accounts. It’s awful
Oct 23Reply
shopfancyfresh
shopfancyfresh @jgajewski absolutely agree but they probably won’t because of revenue they generate per user. Which is odd, because one would assume integrity matters on a site like this. I understand fraud can happens to both sellers & buyers but when someone provides substantial evidence of blatant acts of fraud, poshmark should take action. It’s wild.
