Tagua jewelry is made from a Tagua palm nuts.This palm tree is native to Ecuador’s rainforest. Each 7 years the female tagua tree produces nuts. The clusters mature and fall on the ground. The seeds are collected, dried, the thick husk is peeled, until ivory color flesh is revealed. This marvelous product is then sliced into multiple shapes, sanded dyed and handmade into artisanal jewelry. Tagua jewelry is a “green” product, it feels very nice on the skin.
