@polishedpatriot when we measured each size to ship, they measured accurately according to the size chart. Numerically, different manufacturer’s may vary between what they consider a size 8 to be. So, if 36” or 38” works for you, it’s safer to figure that way. The straps adjust so you can raise or lower the bust line accordingly. If we can be more helpful, we’ll be back in about an hour 😊

I’ve liked this item at the beginning of summer but have been a little troubled by something I’ve noticed. The item being sold doesn’t quite look like the one in pics that model is wearing as hers seems much more flowier with much wider cuts of material at the bottom than the item pictured by itself. Why is that? Thanks 😉

@raineys7 we can’t speak to any fluffing the photographer does, lighting, angles, the way in which the model is holding the garment, but, we can say, that every single posher who has purchased this, gave it 5 stars and said we presented it accurately and packaged it well. The straps to have some elastic to them as well as being adjustable. Perhaps sizing up will give you more of a billowing feel?

@buyitwhenfound Thank you for your response😊 but I’m not referring to the way the model is standing, fluffing, lighting, breeze blowing garment, etc.
I’m noticing in the second pic where the model is holding out the bottom and clearly visible, at the bottom of garment, the side to side proportion of white panel looks much wider at the bottom which in turn is what clearly gives it that real flowy look and movement.

@buyitwhenfound Sizing up would not be an option as it would only make this piece look and fit too big and sloppy at the top.
I am not questioning other buyers opinions or reviews, glad they’ve been happy. I happen to like the piece very much, that’s is shown in the first two pics and my question was and still remains... Is the piece you’re selling, the same piece and construction as the piece shown in the first two pics that the model is wearing? Thank you😉

@buyitwhenfound Maybe I can explain what I’m referring to this way... First 2 pics: each colored panel on the garment is much smaller at the top and noticeably much wider at the bottom.
Last pics of item, pics 3,5,6 and 8: the difference in width of each color panel at top compared to the bottom is very minimal and does not have that drastically measurable difference as it does in pics 1 and 2.

Respectfully, in other words the answer to my question is likely no, this is not the same item as manufacturers modeling pics. It seems the boutique company is not providing it’s sellers with the same garments as showcased in their pictures. This is not the first time I’ve experienced this with boutique items and it seems as though it’s becoming quite common...

@buyitwhenfound ...I’ve spoken to other Poshers and sellers as well who have felt disappointingly deceived by manufacturers regarding some of their boutique items they’ve received and have admittedly noticed many differences in color and style with their items also. That’s too bad for everyone all the way around. It seems like an amazon kind of thing which is why many have stopped buying clothes from them, so, I hope that doesn’t take over PoshMark for the sake of all Poshers😉

@raineys7 Thank you. Anything that is inferior with poor stitching, color, just general poor quality, we flag and have returned. We don’t sell it as we don’t want to be associated with it. We don’t even want to sell it at a discount. Our attitude is, if we don’t want it, why would anyone else.

@raineys7 they have tv specials that show how food commercial have artists and sculptors on set as it isn’t food being photographed. Pancakes can’t be used as they’d flatten too quickly. They use Elmer’s, paint etc.
