lasknickknacks @rukiddingme33 yes I video all pieces while packing so that it shows the item in the exact condition it is when I package it because I have had a few scammers destroy the items and say that I sent them that way! So it’s really to protect everyone 😁

I photograph and then use video to record just so I have proof I didn’t miss anything lol 😂 it’s time consuming but I’ve lost a lot of money due to a few scammers 😒 it saves me the hassle of backtracking with posh if someone is unsatisfied for WHATEVER reason. 😁🙏I hope that helps 😘🤗 Happy Poshing lovely!

I wish Posh tracked these “damaged” or “not as described” claims (for buyers and sellers). There are some “repeat offenders”...I hope this makes them think twice before scamming!

There are some really dishonest people in the world and that is so sad 😞 I had to do this after about 4 outrageous transactions that screwed me completely...normally wouldn’t care but lost 2,500 from not recording🤯 since I started this I have not had a problem 😁

ellabello so smart! I thought about this but didn't start doing yet. I've not had many sales but I've had enough to where this could have happened to me. rlee73 @lasknickknacks hey Lauren I'm just reading all the comments and what not so what even more alarming is that the scammer will actually wreck the stuff ??? does Poshmark require them to send photos of the stuff that they supposedly received like that I'm just curious cuz it seems like you we got to cover our rear ends all around the board

lasknickknacks @rlee73 yes they require it but the buyer has 4 days to accept the package and all they have to send is a picture of the box and wrapping stuff and the condition of the item...so all they have to do is use the item before they accept it, then break the item or destroy in some SMALL way to say it wasn’t as advertised! We have photos but Posh always sides with the customer because if you don’t have proof of SENDING them the way they look in the pictures you have posted, you are SOL my friend☹️

lasknickknacks @rlee73 so the easiest way is to take a few pics of the item as you wrap it (video is even better) and take some of the item wrapped and then in the box. It’s annoyingly time consuming but I haven’t had any problems since. Plus, on the bright side you can show off your cute packaging😉

kelsylikesshoes Oye! I think I Need to Start doing this. I had a Horrible Buyer Recently Claim that I mailed them a "Gypsy Warrior Camo Jacket" in place of the Wrangler Plaid Shirt Jacket that I sold her. idk what she's trying to pull because she never opened a return just left me 1 star...? so I don't get it at all. unless she's just completely confusing my package with some other sellers package?!?! But funny thing is I don't even know what a camo gypsy warrior Jacket is...🤣😂😫😫😫🙄🙄

kelsylikesshoes also, I know for a fact that I mailed the correct item because it was a sentimental piece so I took extra care when washing and folding and packaging because the wrangler shirt Jacket reminds me of my uncle. I dont have and never have had anything in my shop or possessions like a gypsy warrior camoflauge Jacket. so she's totally trippin or just flat out trying her darndest to ruin my ratings just to be mean. People are so awful😫😫

brising I was under the assumption that posh had insurance to protect us from fraudulent claims. I am dealing with a woman who obviously had buyers remorse, and put holes in a sweater. Poshmark has always reimbursed both parties for other issues. Are they really going to make me take a damaged item? Ugh

lasknickknacks @brising missed this! So sorry! When I started on Poshmark in AUG 2018, things were WAY different on here. It wasn’t as big and they have changed and added a lot! All I know is I had 4 or 5 sales that someone opened a case for and submitted pictures of the items damaged! I was shocked! I tried to make my case, but the listing photos weren’t enough evidence bc I “could have damaged them in the meantime”! I lost out a TON of money, so I record EVERYTHING now. Lol 😂 that’s all😉

brendas_ropero This might be a little random, but for those of you that record. Do you talk through the recording or show yourself/face? For example, turning the camera to yourself and introducing yourself then turning back to the package and talking through what you’re doing? I hope that makes sense. Kind of random but I just sold my first big ticket item and I want to start recording packaging/ shipping just to add a little more protection for myself. Thank you!

Is there a trick that you use (if you don’t mind me asking) holding the phone to video while packaging is difficult for me, I’m always dropping my phone 😂 I love everything about this post!
