My son Peter and I started Anthony’s Hope For Life I’m honer of my son Anthony to help raise awareness and emotional support to families suffering from anxiety & depression and suicide prevention!! Anthonys Hope is one of the chapters with the smithtown children’s foundation. My sister had Depression and still is getting better. She said h#ll no, we do not think about consequences. We being those who have Depression. The best way to explain here is put on sound cancelling headphones. It is just you and your thoughts no feedback from anyone or anywhere. Your thoughts then begin to do more harm than good.

ezzy56 This takes therapy, counseling and time. Also understanding that, consequences do not exist to them. This is from my friends who have or had Depression. No one will understand unless they went through it themselves. Only thing I can think of that my sis and those I met with Depression was the sound cancelling headphones. That is just the surface they said. I have even spoken to those who help with this. It is a good surface explanation. But deeper is difficult to explain.

I educate as best I can, understanding as well can help bring closure. One thing you can do is put yourself in his shoes. This is why I said noise cancelling headphones. anthonys_hope @ezzy5679 you are sooo right and I know my sim did not think about what he was leaving and how much hurt he would cause but only to stop his hurt and Believe me I do understand and I was the closest to him I was the only one who did understand that my son was in pain every day!! dysanel My son is 24 years old , and battling with depression and among others. I try to keep an open communication with him. Understanding his demons. And I'm also a nurse in a behavioral facility. I just offer everything to God, follow his will and accept. When times gets tougher than others, I just think of this phrase, " God sends the hardest storm to his strongest warriors. I always advice my son to take it day by day ..to think of 3 things to be thankful and grateful for as soon as he wakes up in the morning..and hold on to those 3 things in his thoughts throughout the day. Depression overwhelms people and they are just trying to get through each day. He died by suicide from a brain disease, depression. Very good boy had I feel for you deeply, I will help you as much as I can. I do not have a lot of money but what little I have I will help you with. I feel your pain I hurt still too. vondanwearhaus Prayers for you and your family! I’m so sorry! Suicide awareness and prevention is close to my heart as well. My nephew was 16 when he left this world and my sister was devastated. The grace of God helped her get through the pain of losing him and she and her family were all saved. My heart truly goes out to you! Vonnie 🙏🏻❤️🫂
