shopshuny @belleetbete Well I'll do my best to provide this for you. Let me explain the design a little bit more to help you as well. There is really not a pit because the bottom of the sleeve goes into a dolman style that leads to the empire waist band. The flat lay empire waist band is approx 8.5". When I stretch it out it goes to 15". I hope that helps bet let me know if you have any other questions.
