is this fitted thru the bottom of the hips? Asking because I swing my skirt alot when dancing so dont like it too fitted

@dodesg this is fitted and flares out past the hips. the skirt will swing and fly but the fullness is not high enough for you to grab and style it. this is more of a trumpet or mermaid. I'll see if I have a video clip

@cathyletsdance the silver gown is beautiful but can I raise the skirt so my arm is parallel with the floor? and will it fit me - I am typically a medium (8/10), and is there a piece of fabric in the back which connects the shoulders so the dress doesnt fall forward?

@dodesg I added a video for the silver dress. again the tires are lower, so when you turn in the dress you are not exposed above the mid thigh in this dress.
You might be needing a full circle skirt if you need enough material to hold parallel to the floor for styling.
I'm in a 10/12 now and I'm 5'8" with 41" hip so you have a reference for fit.

and yes there is a strap across the top as a safety that the top doesn't fall as the back is quite lovely and opens wide and deep. I added a photo.

@dodesg if it's just for practice and you don't mind a skirt most economical thing to do would be ordering a belly dance satin skirt from Amazon. it will be full enough for you to practice your styling. if you found a mini dress you could even sew the skirt to the bottom and make yourself a practice dress
