Just like any other Posher, I want a fair deal and I'm not a fan of low ballers.
I've graduated college but have a student loan to pay back, just like others on here, so every penny counts. My prices are fairly reasonable, a majority of my closet is under $15 and most of that part of my 5 for $20 deal, which is an incredible deal in truth.
Therefore, I don't mind bargaining and I'm sorry shipping cost sucks, but I would like a nice profit at the end.
Thank you.

Going from a listing price of $12 or $10 and getting an offer of $5 or $4 is honestly very disrespectful.
rican0902
@beatriz_emely I completely agree with you.
beatriz_emely
@rican0902 Thank you! I've been getting so many lowballers recently. It bothers me the most when they're reoccurring too, like I have someone who sends me a lowball offer almost every other week and when I decline -basically every time-, they send me multiple offers that's a dollar higher but still lowballing ๐
rican0902
@beatriz_emely did you try blocking them? I block the people that try to scam me.

rican0902
@beatriz_emely I shared your closet on my Facebook so hopefully that will help with sales.
beatriz_emely
@rican0902 I've thought about it, but I feel like that would be mean ๐
but honestly if she tries it again, I'm going to have to do it.
beatriz_emely
@rican0902 Oh my gosh wow, that's so nice! Thank you, I truly appreciate it! To return the gesture, I'm going to share yours on my Twitter ๐
rican0902
@beatriz_emely is it really being mean when she knows what she is doing. Blocking is one of the nicer things to do lol.
rican0902
@beatriz_emely you're welcome. Every little bit helps these days. Thank you for doing that. I wasn't expecting you to do anything in return.
beatriz_emely
@rican0902 Yeah that's true. If she does it again, I'll do that because it is rude. Especially when I've decline multiple times to the same offer.
beatriz_emely
@rican0902 Its no problem at all, I wanted to, like you said every little bit helps. I understand how hard and frustrating it can be waiting for people to actually buy our stuff, so any advertising can help us out.

@beatriz_emely do you mind if I share this since it has the nice low balling chart on it. Someone just bundled $98 worth of product and sent me a low ball offer of $55.
beatriz_emely
@rican0902 I don't mind at all, go ahead! Ugh some people, sorry that happened ๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ
rican0902
@beatriz_emely thanks. It's okay, I declined the offer and countered the second offer. If they want it they will accept the counter I made.
beatriz_emely
@rican0902 Hopefully they do accept so you can make a good sale. Oh and with the mention of lowballing, that women did it to me again ๐ so I took your advice and blocked her. It's quite sad and annoying how people can't take a hint, especially when it's been sent multiple times.
rican0902
@beatriz_emely they declined my offer. I'm sorry they kept doing that. I'm glad they can't do that to you anymore since you blocked them. When that happens it's like being poked with a stick over and over.
beatriz_emely
@rican0902 Exaxtly! It's so annoying, like I understand you're interested in the item but either respect my decline, make a fair compromise, or get out. And sorry to hear that, well they missed out on a good offer. They'll come around eventually or you'll just find someone else who really wants things from that bundle.
karisshabbychic
I swear I might have to steal this for my page too. I have several notices like this on my page but ppl still expect you to let them have a $12 item for $5 plus a shipping discount. So ridiculous and annoying!
beatriz_emely
@aforperfection By all means, use it. That's what its here for. I completely understand you, I've even gotten the same offer you described. Its ridiculous and rude! Like I understand everyone wants a good deal, but you need to respect the sellers. We're doing the best we can under the conditions Poshmark has.
karisshabbychic
@beatriz_emely Totally agree!
karisshabbychic
I put this on my page as you said I could. Still didnโt stop
3 lowballers from sending me 30-40% offers on products. Unbelievable! I think some of them think Poshmark takes nothing, They must think Shipping supplies are free, as is our time n gas. Ugh! Itโs been one of those days.
beatriz_emely
@aforperfection Honestly, I agree with you. I think people think that as well, because I truly don't understand how they could send lowball offers otherwise. Sorry that people won't/don't read this warning or grasp the concept of business and what good offers actually are ๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ
karisshabbychic
@beatriz_emely I honestly wanted to pull all my listings bc. I offer like 30% off and then ppl do that. So over it! ๐ก
beatriz_emely
@aforperfection I completely understand your feelings and feel the same ways every once in a while. Its frustrating and so irritating, but there are great buyers out there who understand, so stick around for them.
beatriz_emely
When someone sends you a $3 offer on your $7 listing... going from a $4.05 profit to $.05? I don't think so ๐ค๐
beatriz_emely
Especially on a basically brand new item too, some people ๐ค
auria1982
@beatriz_emely yessss some lady offered me 10 dollars on a 40 item that is not easy to find I just threw her the ๐คฃ and then she offered 14 girl if you don't dismiss yourself. ๐ sometimes I think offer up is better
beatriz_emely
@auria1982 I will never understand people ๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ like I'm all for getting a good deal, but don't be ridiculous. I just recently had a lady criticize me for not accepting her lowball offer, point out the fact that it still hadn't sold to anyone, and then tell me she "wasn't going to buy from me".
auria1982
@beatriz_emely for real funny shit is when I was typing that last night some guy offered me $10 on something that he bundled together that already had a 15% off discount and was $21 no and then I countered and then he offered me 11 and then I decline and he offered me 12 like go somewhere man do you not understand it off of 12 on me like $8 and no sir I mean I'm not trying to be like rich off of poshmark but if I wanted to give it away I would have just took it to Goodwill
beatriz_emely
@auria1982 Exactly!! It irritates me so much when they slowly do the going-up-a-dollar act, like come on stop ๐ Especially if your items already have been discounted? That's so trashy to ask for even more discount honestly. I had someone do that to me with my 5 for $20 deal, they offered me $18 which I declined and then offered me $14. Like girl, I already lowered these items individually and made them part of a savings deal. Don't push it ๐ค
auria1982
@beatriz_emely I know someone offered me 3. on a 5 dollar item that I see some people selling for like 15 plus nope not worth the ink lol
auria1982
@beatriz_emely it's always the ones that have items in they're closet for outrageous prices or only buy so they don't kno
beatriz_emely
@auria1982 Yes, I've had the same thing happen to me! The $.5 isn't worth printing a label. And very true, I get a lot of people who only buy try to lowball me. It just sucks cause I have this post up, yet they don't know how to read it.
beatriz_emely
A $25 offer on a $75 brand new item??? Get outta here! ๐ค๐ค so freaking insulting.
beatriz_emely
I already lowered it 5 times and sent offers to the likers!! Some buyers, so inconsiderate ๐ก if you can't afford it, just move on from it. Don't get mad at me for trying to make a profit. Sorry not sorry ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ
beatriz_emely
Some people on here... ๐
magnolia_thrift
@beatriz_emely I feel you. Yesterday someone offered me $6 on Michael Kors flip flops that were only worn once. I was listing them at $28 which I feel is pretty generous already. Iโve been in the habit lately of trying to be nice and counter, but I just stared at that $6 in bewilderment and then smashed the decline button ๐๐๐
beatriz_emely
@magnolia_thrift People are really trying to be funny nowadays ๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ jokes on them when they get declined though ๐ It never seems to end, unfortunately. I recently had an repeat buyer, I know her as being a lowballer, send me an offer for $5 on a brand new and freshly listed bralette that I have for $15. Like really? I will never understand the nerve of some people, that's the kind of bold I wish I had ๐
beatriz_emely
Just say you can't afford the listing price, shipping, and/or both and GO ๐ I can't control shipping and sorry that I need to make a profit smh ๐
desiree0714
@beatriz_emely I totally agree . I am glad you posted this ! Thank you for the shared ๐๐ฅฐ
beatriz_emely
@desiree0714 Of course, and you're welcome! ๐
desiree0714
@beatriz_emely When people do that to me i counter with a dollar more then original listing ๐ถI know that sounds like a terrible thing ๐คญI just feel like they donโt care sometimes and itโs the only way to get a point across without being rude . Even though their offers are insulting
beatriz_emely
@desiree0714 I love that ๐๐๐ฝ I try to bargain, but sometimes I straight up decline. And I'm right there with you, it does feel insulting! Especially if they send a lowball offer for something brand new or one of your more pricey listings.
desiree0714
@beatriz_emely I am all for a bargain but 98% of my items are new with tags in perfect condition never worn any sign of where I had a girl do the same thing to me every couple of days she offered me five dollars for the same shoes. I kept declining it declining it and finally had to block .
beatriz_emely
@desiree0714 Like I know there are genuine people who don't see the seller's viewpoint on Poshmark, but you have to get the hint at some point that $5 is not okay. If you wanted to basically give it away for free, you would have donated or gifted it by now ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ
beatriz_emely
@desiree0714 and that's so annoying that she kept doing that, I'm glad you blocked her! It's a little bit the same, but ever since I started I have this once in a while person who constantly likes items, puts them in bundles, but never buys. I send offers and nothing. She's done it a few times to my sister's closet too ๐
desiree0714
@beatriz_emely thatโs aggravating! I a few of those too . I read your listing information. I have 4 small kids and when I starting poshing I was just diagnosed with stage 3 cervicalcancer. This was my only source of income for a while . I needed every penny . I hope your mom is doing better.
beatriz_emely
@desiree0714 Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that. How are you doing? Are your children okay? I know that kind of news is really tough to recieve. And thank you. My mom was diagnosed with stage 0 breast cancer at the end of 2018 and stage 2 colon cancer mid-2019. However, she had surgeries and is in treatment recovery now. So, she's taking everyday the best she can.

artzyabby
Would you mind if I reposted this? I sell things for really cheap and people constantly try to low ball me :/
beatriz_emely
@artzyabby Absolutely go for it! I totally understand and feel you on that. The people on this app are wild with their "offers" and it can really leave one feeling frustrated.
beatriz_emely
A $12 listing and a $3 offer???
๐ DISRESPECTFUL ๐
sharonelizabeth
Hi! May I borrow some of these lowballer pics for my page? These are great!
beatriz_emely
@sharonelizabeth Hello! And absolutely, go right ahead ๐
sharonelizabeth
@beatriz_emely thanks so much! Love your closet!
beatriz_emely
@sharonelizabeth of course and thank you! Yours is wonderful as well ๐
beatriz_emely
Sad too that people don't know how to view photos and read descriptions well ๐ฎโ๐จ
beatriz_emely
Incredibly rude to continuously send a 50% offers when I already sent an counter that I'm comfortable with. $13 to $5 then $6 twice? Oh no, ma'am ๐ค Very rude.
