@dvmdart thanks for your input. Just like different qualities of leather, Alligator bags , shoes, etc are made from different parts of the animal. This is from the belly, the softest, pricier part. Also, a lot of companies will use caiman crocodile for bags that have the look of alligator but if you’ve seen, felt the difference there is no comparison.

Thx. I will keep your bag in mind. I own about a dozen Nancy Gonzalez bags that are a soft croc but I actually want a stiffer alligator/croc because I carry my 9# poodle in my bag wherever I go so the bag has to be a minimum of 14" in length.
