gardenofshe @resalem I've always been partial to black cats! Probably because (apparently) they don't get adopted as much - and they look like mini panthers which is cool lol But Calicos are just as awesome! My brother has one :) she's kind of a brat but she's cute!

resalem @gardenofgina Both of mine are kind of brats. 😹 We actually went to the adoption event with the intent of getting only Tooch (the calico), but they told us that kittens do better with a playmate and informed us they were running a special: adopt one & get half off a second's adoption fees! So we call Salem our BOGO cat. 😹 And I was really surprised when they told me black cats can have trouble finding homes. I had never thought of it. He can be a best but he's such a little lover. ♥️🐈

gardenofshe @resalem lol!! My cat was on discount too! 😂 he had been at the shelter for more than four months? So by that point he was half off lol Because he was 11 years old at the time and a black cat so nobody wanted him 😕 Ahhh I love the name Tooch! So cute 🥰 sounds like you got some lovely kittys~

resalem @gardenofgina Aww, that's so good of you to adopt an older cat! And so funny we both got discount cats! We considered an older cat, but we wanted Tooch to have a family member come home with her. (I don't know that she even knows, however. 😹) Also, being first-time cat parents, we selfishly wanted the kitten experience. 😹 I see older cats up for adoption now, and it makes me very sad, but I'm worried adopting a new cat of any age would disrupt the balance we have in our home.
