                **SILVER CLEANING HACK**
Use the above with caution and at your own risk
I have used this method many times with great success - especially on pieces like chain link, or textured pieces
- I always use a glass pan
- Always place Aluminum shiny side UP
- I lay the jewelry in the glass dish, on top of the foil and then mix the dry ingredients into the boiling water pouring it gently over the Silver pieces as I mix
- Let set for 10ish mins.
- Rinse in cold water & Pat dry

@pheiland I wanted to share this with you in case you find charms for your project that need a little polishing - this is hands down the easiest way to get the tarnish off - I used it on the Heart Charm bracelets to remove the bit of discoloration/tarnish that Silver gets - even when stored 😊

@starbucks8186 Rosanna, also have your daughter try this tarnish removing mixture - it may be that the Silver has oxidized behind the stone and this may get behind it and clear up the discoloration

awesome...! I will try... I've spent too much on cleaners. I see we have similar tastes in jewelry. Any ideas for cleaning silver tone with crystals or rhinestones.. like vintage? Could this cleaning system change colors in metal if the are not (100%) silver? your input is great appreciated. Thank you for visiting my closet. I encourage you to take a look at all my jewelry... I still have tons to list. This is all my collection... 😬

@laetitiagarcia Hi Laetitia 🙂 this method is for solid Sterling Silver only and Unfortunately will not work on Sterling Silver plated or pieces made of other metals. Vintage pieces are tricky to clean, especially those with crystals or rhinestones - for those I recommend googling suggested methods - I looked it up years ago when cleaning my great aunts Trifari jewelry, but cannot remember exactly what is safe and what is not.
