She sent a random package to a random house in the town I live in so the tracking would show that I was receiving a package. I bet she didn’t think I would be able to track it down and call her out! So I’ve contacted multiple people from this lady’s closet from her trades and all have been scammed by her. Poshmark will not do anything🥺😔

I would definitely report to the police and FBI. It's a scam and needs to be filed as such. Also, if you have any kind of renters or home insurance with the police report you can file a claim to get a reimbursement based on theft because that's what this is. Literally thousands of dollars in theft. It might not help, but wanted to let you know if there is a chance to at least recover the monetary value ❤

Looks like that person has scammed before. They’ve done multiple trades and have zero feedback for any of them (huge sign!). Poshmark should removed their account and maybe reach out to the other traders so they can contact posh on your behalf too.

So sorry this happened to you! I had similar experience except it was not a trade but the seller also sent a near empty package to a house for sale in my town that I had to track down and luckily was able to return and get my money back, otherwise the seller would have also gotten $399 due to package being “lost”. I called the sellers local police and they said they could not do anything and that I need to report to the FBI online scam. I hope you are able to recover either your bag or $$ 😥

@seana_ard no it was a seller out of south Florida, the listing was actually taken down by PM so they know something about the seller but PM did not cancel the sale and the seller did not respond to my cancellation request so it was shipped then I had to do the work to find it as you had. PM could have lost that money themselves so I don’t know why they couldn’t take the time and effort to cancel the sale if they are taking down the listing. I think there is definitely a scam ring going on.

@lajefa2015 I had a guy do that to me too. I bought a LV Sac Chien for like $400, what a steal. He had reviews that were positive so I bought it. I use a PO Box to deliver my items because I live in a newer development and people seem to track the mailman, UPS, FedX and swoop up packages. So I see the alert that my package was delivered to my PO Box. Go down there and they say nope, nothing. They are all super nice and helpful in there.

3 blocks away from the PO and maybe a mile from my house with some other name attached to it! On top of that the box was to to small to have a dog carrier in it! It was the medium flat rate box! He printed up the picture and he couldn’t let me take the paper, so silly because of regulations, but said I could take a picture. I did and sent it into posh. I was able to get my money back.

They get sneaky! They know that if it shows as delivered and the buyer doesn’t get it, they both will get their money because the package is “lost”! It’s posh who looses the money. This is another reason why our fees are so high!

I’m sorry that this happened to you..😔 it happened to me too. The individual cyn_cloths posted on Poshmark Christian Louboutin. She left me a message on my page to text her, biggest mistake. We were texting back and forth and I ended up depositing through Zelle app (NEVER use Zelle app, no FRAUD protection). The individual got away with a lot of money. I couldn’t even leave messages on her page bcuz she blocked me. I reported to Poshmark but I didn’t go through them I can’t get my money back😔

@lyric65 my advice is if you or anyone ever buy anything off posh make sure it's only through pa yp al goods and service because that's the only way both seller and buyer are protected. Anything else ven mo, ze lle, pa yp al friends and family it's like if you're just gifting money to family or friends. Through goods and service theres tracking of everything. I've bought and sold a few things that's way. Again it's the only way both are protected.

Also since I report to posh this morning they reply back said they will look over both of us personal information account and reports and will help out. I think If Poshmark get a lot of complaint about some problem they will do something too.

They are coming down hard on mail fraud here in Houston lately. You can bundle an item and message me privately if you like. I can look up her info and see what precinct she is in. The rules say trading is no restricted but it is not recommended because they can’t help you once you trade. So with the help of another posher🥰 we found out who is behind linascloset🤣 I think it’s a mother daughter scheme🤔 mom is Selina Brown and daughter is Taya Szafranski, you can find her on Instagram as tayacakes. That’s also one of the names she has used for her closet, she’s changed her name. She works at Wendy’s. I’ve already turned in their addresses, yes both of their addresses, phones numbers and all the info we dug up. So now I just need to let the law do their job🥰

@blorch61 I’m pretty new to Poshmark and I’m learning that more and more everyday... sadly. I’m such a trusting person but Poshmark is making me so paranoid lol!😬 I only deal with authentic LVs and that’s all that I have in my closet. I’m honest and trustworthy so I expect others to show the same respect to me, but I guess I need to be more selective on who I deal with.

@blorch61 I only joined Poshmark because of all the great reviews and how everything is authentic or your money back. I guess that is true to an extent... if you buy under $500, it’s not authenticated by posh and you don’t know any better, you’re outta luck. With all the trade scams, replica scams and all other scams all together it’s making me lose faith in Poshmark. I’m gonna hold on to some hope and see how it plays out.

I go through some of the new listing and I see so many scammers! I thought Poshmark was a safe place but I’ve learned to be super careful here!!!😬

@posh_queen_lv I was sharing from your closet and saw this! It just makes me SICK. Posh can’t do anything if it’s trading. I wish the authorities would press charges against her. If it’s happened one than once you all should be able to file a law suit against her. And her closet is still open. We should share this so other people can see it. @zipper yeah she has two. The pelicanposh and linascloset. It almost feels like she let one of her friends use her posh account to scam, the tayacakes girl. Within a couple weeks she was trading a lot of LV bags she never had. She was using the excuse of the Houston floods and the postoffice getting destroyed. The photos of the bag she was trading me, I found the same bag and photos on e bay🙄😬.

I'm so sorry to hear this happened to you. I do trades all the time but through Poshmark Only. There is a proper way to trade where you put your trade items under 1 listing and it's purchased through Poshmark platform that way it is covered under policy. It does require retaking pictures but worth the time and expense. 😭☹️ I have discovered that if someone wants you to email them off of the platform it is best to not respond but report them to Poshmark immediately.

I’ve been scammed a couple times. Each time they tried to flip it that I was scamming them once I called them out and even had never to make fake Accts and harass me! No, posh can’t do anything bc they do not support trades.... but they gave me at least 100$ credit. So idk why you only got $3.... that’s weird.mine was LV also scanned out of.
I still do trades I just make sure the other person knows that I will not send my item UNTIL I get there’s.

@posh_queen_lv I had two scammers , they want to pay over 50 god bless and address they sent me a check for lol 1600 for a bag 400, and said cash it had address on it , cashiers check so they emailed me and said oh we see you got check cash it, google address on it found guy in tx who said he was scammed sent him back check to the address he gave me never got thanked prob the scammer omg so anyone with god bless , or email or exchange no way

So this is crazy 1.)bc this exact thing was done to me once, except usps wouldn’t give me the address the person DID ship it to! And 2.) when I traded with her, she was unable to purchase a label on posh, so I told her I’d use usps or ups! And she was all skeptical about it! Now this explains why!!! Also, she told me her husband is a deputy!

Her friend’s apartment🙄 I told the manager what happened so she went to the apartment and the lady there said she did not get a package. I told the scammer that I was calling the cops and I made a claim with the USPS fraud department, which is a federal crime BTW.

They redirected me to respond by email and was texting me. They wanted me to send them information so they could send me a check and a “mover” would come get the bag from me. I went with my gut that something was off and told them I’ll only do the deal through Poshmark’s platform. They offered more money and wanted to then send the check through the computer.

They also said they were in Arizona. Their messages were not in clear English which was confusing me as to how the transaction was going to work and they wouldn’t give me clear answers to why they didn’t want to use USPS. I wrote a message to Poshmark regarding this account and haven’t heard back yet. After hearing your experience with the support team I’m realizing we may need to take action ourselves, as users to protect one another against scammers. I don’t want anyone to be scammed!

I’ve had a handful of situations in the last few years with poshmark that I’ve got burned on but if you hold your ground and keep contacting poshmark they will make it right. They’ll refund buyer and release all your funds to you.
