angiesattic5 Just some info here on Real silver and silver plated differences. I get ask this question so much I thought I could save a bit of time by listing the answer here.

angiesattic5 Is it real 925 Sterling. This is usually the question. The answer is that real 925 sterling consists of 92.5% pure silver. And the rest is usually some kind of alloy. In most cases Copper.

angiesattic5 Even real 925 sterling silver can tarnish. To prevent or help with silver plated and pure silver follow these steps. Store in zip lock bag take all air out put in a piece of chalk. To absorb moisture. Lotions hairspray and water can accelerate the tarnishing process. Soft cloth wiped own exposure to air is a factor. Store cool dark place away from sun heat and moisture. Add a small strip of anti tarnish.store individually airtight don't wear in shower or pool.

angiesattic5 Velvet liner or slots for my rings work great as my dresser has built-in jewelry cabinets with velvet lined shelf for necklaces bracelets and rings. 13 years it's kept them in beautiful condition.
