@wumegan1966 would you say it has ivory hue or pink or blue?

@mirmir80 I will say it’s ivory hue.

If you have any further details on pearl grade, luster, or rating, or appraisal, that would be very helpful, since quality can vary so much with pearls, even Mikimoto has range.

Also, can you add close up photos of front and back of clasp? Thanks

I’m sorry but the appraisal is 30 years ago when pearls had high value. My Mikimoto pearls were bought at same time line from auction and were owned by Mrs. Frank Lloyd Wright. Graduated 8mm to 9.5 mm necklace with diamond clasp. They are NOT holding value, unfortunately. I think it’s unrealistic to assume these pearls will sell for this price. Yet, it only takes one buyer, lol…

@martharogers889 pearls, especially Mikimoto are priceless right now due to a pearl shortage with disease and import changes. You are selling at market cost. They would be around 6,500-8,000 now depending on grade. I work with Mikimoto daily. Just FYI. do t take a low offer and try other sales

Don't take a lowball offer and try other platforms.

I would absolutely take them to get professionally graded and appraised.

So beautiful. One of my prize possessions is I inherited my grandmother’s set of Mikimoto pearls my grandpa bought for her in Japan in the 50s. It’s a necklace, earrings and a ring. They are a deep pink gold color, so so pretty. I hope you get top dollar they’re worth it.

An American Express Credit card number appears on the receipt. Careful! Call American Express and delete the photo with the credit card number, blackened it out and repost photo.

the receipt clearly shows the currency in hfl.... which is about 50% value of the usd. when you factor in the age and current availability the price point is sketchy at best.
caveat emptor.

Yes a close up picture would be nice. Due to the natural process to create natural and cultured pearls, real pearls have irregularities and ridges that make them unique. A real pearl is rarely perfectly round. Synthetic pearls are created to be uniform and identical to each other, real pearls are typically heavier than synthetic pearls. Real pearls are typically cooler to the touch, and will adjust in temperature while worn. Synthetic pearls typically stay at room temperature.
