cdecensi @pggykim hi hun I have a question since you seem to be a Frye expert 😊. I finally got my harness boots in the tan color, do you use any products to treat/ weatherproof then? And if so what do you recommend?

bootaddict @cdecensi I buy the Frye conditioner in the round container.It will alter the color of the boots a little but it keeps the leather soft.Make sure to stuff the toe area when you don’t wear them and use the inserts to keep the shape.Its the easiest way to keep them looking great.Each pair of boots I own are stored this way and it makes a huge difference.(Pet peeve when I see squished boots lol).Hope I’ve helped you a little.

cdecensi @pggykim thank you! How do you apply the cream? Have you ever used it on tan? I’m so in love with the color they are now I’m scared 😱. They are pretty similar to these in color

bootaddict @cdecensi I use a cloth and rub it in lightly and wipe off any excess.If you love the color just leave them for now they will scuff and scratch with wear the boots look best a little beat in my opinion.If you do decide to condition them do a small area to see if you are happy with it.The biggest factor in keeping the creasing away is to keep the toes stuffed when not wearing and boot shapersI don’t actually use waterproof on any of my Frye’s I try not to wear them out n the rain

bootaddict @cdecensi The only Frye’s I wear in sloppy weather are my Engineer boots that are in the greasy black leather.They don’t get water marks

bootaddict @cdecensi Oh one more thing I don’t normally condition the lighter colored Harness boots unless they’ve been worn for awhile and are scratched and scuffed a bit.The conditioner helps to make the scratches look a little less noticeable
