In 1994, Coach for the first time used alphabets in the number of their bags— alphabets in the prefix to note month year facility and after the dash was the style number of the bag. Example ‘No. D5B-5130’ stand for D=April 5=1995 B=Factory Facility 5130=Station bag.

vintagerebecca Unfortunately counterfeiters would also buy real bags and then return counterfeits to Coach stores. It was a real problem bc employees didn't know all the ways to tell fakes. So sorry this happened to you. I'm sure you're a good seller who wouldn't want anyone to get a fake. Like someone said there are groups with free authenticators.

The word “characteristic” is misspelled for one. But most importantly the serial number on the Coach creed is not correct. I read many of the comments on this bag and I have to agree with the majority.
