Well, as the title of this page indicates, my fur *baby* is now my fur *angel* ๐ Poshmarkโs beloved Pandy-Poo was euthanized on Monday, November 11, 2019, at the age of 16 years and 2 months. ๐ข๐ญ See *last* picโ๏ธabove for thorough details.
Thanks to the Poshmark community for showing SO much โค๏ธ to my baby over the last few years. He has now crossed the ๐ ๐, and is looking down, smiling, and waving his cutie little paw at us, haha ๐

Oh my gosh! I am so sorry to hear about your sweet Pandy๐ญ I am in tears right now. I was in the same situation 7 weeks ago with my boy Buddy. You want to believe its a nightmare. It really tears your heart out knowing there's nothing you can do but let them go. You gave him a good life. I know nothing is going to take the pain away that you're going through. Aweโน๏ธ . We were lucky enough to be able to have the vet make a house call so we could say goodbye at home. The hardest part was having to make an appointment settling on THAT DAY... too soon, not soon enough DOH itโs been a year and a half, I donโt cry every day, but I did cry yesterday and we have a new Rescue pup for a year now. ๐ซ๐ญ๐ข Iโm sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry about your cat I had one 14 years and he died about two years ago he had fluid on his heart and he had a stroke and he died the next day broke my heart they are a part of the family they're just like kids and I still miss my Opie so much๐

What a cutie! It's so hard to make the decision for Euthanasia...I had to do it with Anpu (in my photo). He had lung cancer that spread up his throat. He was a lover until the very end! So sorry to hear about your loss...but if it's what is best for the animal then you showed the best of your love by ending any suffering.

Oh, girl. My heart ๐ญ I am so sorry about Pandy. He looks so adorable! In โ02 I adopted a kitty. She passed away in โ18. She was with me through so many life changes and experiences, I felt like a huge part of me was missing when she passed. Her name was Kittygoose โบ๏ธ A few months later I adopted a 14 y/o cat from the shelter. I hated being in my apt alone after KG passed and Sophia has filled the silence.

Maybe one day when/if youโre ready you can adopt a kitty that needs that kind of love too! I will always miss KG and I think about her everyday. He had me at, โhelloโ from the very first picture. You were just what he needed, and he gave you his all as well. I have two fur babies, and will soon need to depart with them as my daughter is allergic. But she loves to spend time with them anyways. Itโs hard, as weโve lost several adopted pets and pets we just fell in love with and decided to keep. Peace, joy, and blessings to you! So glad heโs resting with no complications now. Aww I am so very sorry for your loss. I can relate very recently, Our Kitty passed away almost exactly the very same way. back in August of this year. Same symptoms, same everything described except for the vomiting. We miss him bunches and when I read this, I just want to send you a big ol hug. Your fur baby was beautiful!

Pandy Poo is such a beautiful Kitty and I'm so sorry for your loss. Nothing can replace the love and companionship of our pets as they provide a special bond that is never forgotten. Tears streaming down my face as I feel your pain. I too am a cat lover and have had the same experience more times than I like to remember. I love and have loved all my cats but there have been a couple that for reasons unknown worked their way so deep in my heart that their loss was profound. I am so very sorry for your loss. My Yorkie is nearly 15 years old. He has a brain lesion that causes him to have seizures and heโs losing his vision due to cataracts. But he still has his good days. Heโs my boy and I canโt imagine life without him. I pray for strength for you. God Bless.

Our rescue kitty Hannah had a brain lesion and exhibited similar signs. Iโve never felt so helpless in my entire life than when we were unable to do anything to save her. Hannah and our other kitty were BFFs and he still mourns over the loss of his best play and snuggle mate. Lucy is too much a princess to play with him at the same level (wrestling and pinning and romping around the house like rhinos).

I am truly sorry for your loss. He really reminds me of my neighbor's senior kitty who l looked after, and lived to be 21. A frisky guy who'd growl for his food. Seems like an extremely special fellow. I know he will be with you forever, and somehow return to your lives in one form or another๐ฟ๐ ๐

You loved your kitty so much! I had one particular kitty Arthur, he and I had real love! Hubby got in on it too! I only had him for 3 years, but Arthur and I worked at the same N H, for a good 5 years,he would be waiting for me at the door,then they didnโt want him anymore so he came home to us. I may come to make a veterinary medical decision in the future. My 2 rescue kitties are going through slowly losing their eyesight currently due to cataracts. We are two cousins that share a closet together..After reading about Pandy are heart breaks ๐ช we know how the hurt feels with the love we have for our animals we had to put down..I help out a rescue to place dogs in there forever homes..So many animals out there that need that loving home..I am so happy your Pandy had you to love and give him the best life ever๐

@zardiva1 iโm sooo sorry about your poor kitty. This is EXACTLY what happened to my 16 year old kitty a couple years ago. I gave her fluids from an IV bag at home every day for a month to try to help her kidneys, but there is just nothing you can do for them at that point. Iโm kind of sad I made her go through it everyday because thereโs not a lot that could change the outcome. Pandy is a beautiful kitty!! Iโm sure you two had such a good life together! My true condolences. ๐ฅโค๏ธ

@zardiva1 I'm sorry to hear you had to put him down. it's a difficult decision. You didn't stay with him during the last moments? it's very fast they don't feel anything. I had to put my dog Tiffany down she was 15. She was in my arms when she passed over the rainbow bridge. I still have my kitties, but will always remember her. ๐โค๏ธ

My heart goes out to you. My fur baby was 19 with kidney issues for years. My vet and I talked over the medications and how they would reduce his QOL so we went organic. My boy was strong one day he came in with very odd walking issues as well. We rushed him to the emergency vet and found out that someone had backed over him and cracked his pelvis in two. I couldnโt bear the thought of these people euthanizing him, got pain meds and took him to my vet the next morning,

Thanks for the shares. I'm so sorry about your fur-angel. Years ago we had 2 male cats that went through similar issues. They were both over 20 yrs old when they passed within weeks of each other. We now have 3 cats & a dog. All of my kitties are seniors in their mid to upper teens & the oldest has had diabetes for years. I'm disabled & they are my world. I know how hard it is for you. It breaks my heart ๐ to learn of your loss. Your Fur angel looks a lot like my rescue, Spot. they have very similar markings except Spot has a white torso with a single large black spot on one side. Your kitty was fortunate to have you as a loving fur Mommy for so long. xoxox

I am so very sorry for your loss. ๐๐ I feel we are at this point now with my kitty. He has lost so much weight over the last 6 months or so, his fur is matting and coming out on clumps, yet the vet can't technically find anything wrong in his labs. He's recently slowed his eating and I'm terrified that the end is near, but he is 16 1/2 and had a good life, but it's still just so hard to see them decline. โค๏ธ My thoughts are with you.

While reading your letter I cried for Pandy also for you. In The last picture he still looks so young and healthy. I canโt even imagine what you went through. OMG! What a beautiful angel and I know how you miss him! This brings back so many memories of Puss, the cat we brought to HI 30 years ago. He developed โmega-colonโ - his bladder burst in 3 places but a 4-hr surgery by a wonderful vet saved his life. He lived 2 years after that (only til 13) but he was a trooper. Just never the same. Mario went right after his 13th birthday, Claude will be gone 3 years come August, and our mini kitty Cody will be gone a year in September. I know the pain and loss you feel. But they had good lives and were loved, so still they live on.

@zardiva1 Pandy sounds like he was a gem - and I love that he received so much adoration from the Poshmark community! My family had to put down our 18 year old black and white cat, Biggs, earlier this year (2020). These kitties are special blessings in our lives and so dearly missed when they pass. @zardiva1 I recently lost my sweet girl cat in June. She was only 10. I think that crappy fancy feast brand wet food killed her & the other 2 cats before her. Itโs very difficult. My dog found her passed away. I thought she was just sleeping. I cried for 13 hrs straight. My dog had survived 4 cats. He still looks for her the one who I lost in June. I know how hard it is. Iโm so sorry! โค๏ธ๐ค

I just read this and my heart broke again reading it. I have been thru this with 4 fur babies-2 cats (Miss Kitty [2002], Little Bit [2010], and 2 pups Zip [2010], and Zena [2018]. We had each of them at least 12 years. Little Bit was 18. I miss her still. Zena was my constant companion, and I get testy thinking about her. Our babies bless us more than they know. They are gifts. Cats choose their people, so be honored he chose you.

I just read this about your cat. Im so sorry! I just went through this same exact thing last week with my 14 1/2 year old โOl Catโ everything you described is the same thing that happened to him his last few days of life. Itโs awful and sad. I had his full brother also but he passed in May from Cancer. That was worse than Ol cats death. Your kitty was beautiful! I love cats so much!!!

The only silver lining is that you had 16 marvelous years with this gem! Thatโs amazing. Even longer than most dogs. You both were so fortunate. I have 6 kitties but my oldest is only 6yrs old. This brought tears to my eyes. So sorry. Panda poo looks a lot like our kitty Bandit. I think it can be just as or more difficult to lose a pet as to lose a person. awww so sad, I hate that for you..I totally understand it all..I know you are like me an animal lover..They are very special to us, and they are not just an animal to us, they are our family..And because we have that connection with them, in so many ways they tell us things..If we watch and listen..they do let you know when it is time..They do usually go off and die in privacy if they are outside..I know this too well..I had a black and white kitty that we bottle fed..

and as she aged she developed kidney disease..I fed her a good feed and she did well for yrs after that..When she was 13 yrs she developed an open sore on her breast, an absess. So took her to the vet and she said she thought it might be cancer..But try this medicine and see if it goes away. If it doesn't it is cancer..

I sat her down off my lap, because I was going out to ride my horse..She wanted out to eat some grass, and was laying out in the sunshine. I knew it was time for me to make that Decision. I just went out to saddle the horse, and came back and she was gone. No where to be found!! I searched and searched, called her and no sign of her. I do believe she went off to die..She was telling me it was time. but she spared me the grief..

I completely understand. Mine was a rescue & didnโt know how old he was. 16 is such a long life! We had to put down my cat a Himalayan named Prince. He had CKD for 2 & 1/2 yrs. I trusted the wrong Dr. who wanted to do radical medical interventions when I just wanted to get him out of KF. Iโm sorry for your loss

I recently lost my Dog and Cat in 2017. My little Pomeranian was only 6 years old and when I took her in to the Vet she had a heart attack. It was completely unexpected. I feel your pain. Iโm so sorry for your loss of Pandy. He looks almost like a cat our family had named Skunk who lived to 16 too. He was a gentle and sweet kitty and loved very much. We recently loss our Niko back in October after nearly 17 years. We faced the same decision you did. Our vet was very kind and compassionate. We faced this during the pandemic so our vet set up a tent outside where we could be with our baby during his final minutes. Even though it was difficult our vet helped make it easier.

What a wonderful memorial to Pandy-Poo. I've had to say "see you later" to many pets. My heart has been blessed by each one. Mitten, Tiger, Lucky, Baby, Ears, Little Ears, Footsie, Candy, Pokey (Dog), Boss Hog (Gold fish), Danny (parakeet), Punky ( Guinea Pig), Butch, and Cassidy. Now I have Dottie and Tigger. My fur baby, a Maine Coon cat named MeeMoo, died last summer. She was 20. My daughter was visiting that week. She was able to say goodbye to her kitty. My son was very sick, thatโs why she was visiting. He died November 4th, 2021. Age 42. Now Honey cat, also 20, is near her end.

I just saw this. I want to tell you that I know how you felt/feel. I had a beautiful German Shepherd that became an angel two years ago. Degenerative Myelopathy took him from me. It's a devastating disease. I'm still grieving for him. I have a black cat that's 15 now. She thinks that she's 6 yo. I've had her since 6 weeks old. I appreciate each day with Yana (means black in the Peruvian native language of Quechua). May you always remember the good memories.

I sobbed reading that ๐ญ It hit me when you mentioned him hovering over the water but not drinking ๐ข all my babies did the same in their final days. When my last baby did that I sobbed for hours bc I knew what that meant. We just have to be happy they are at peace and back to their youth puppy selvesโฆ.

@zardiva1 thank you! I just seen your lil pandy poo ๐ my heart breaks for you๐ that was my lil Jimmy winters who actually just passed away last week at the age of 14 . I am beyond devistated ..I know your pain. He was the love of my life ! Not hearing him rap dance on the floor with his lil paws is terrible.. thereโs no love like our fur babies โค๏ธ๐
