Well, as the title of this page indicates, my fur *baby* is now my fur *angel* ๐ Poshmarkโs beloved Pandy-Poo was euthanized on Monday, November 11, 2019, at the age of 16 years and 2 months. ๐ข๐ญ See *last* picโ๏ธabove for thorough details.
Thanks to the Poshmark community for showing SO much โค๏ธ to my baby over the last few years. He has now crossed the ๐ ๐, and is looking down, smiling, and waving his cutie little paw at us, haha ๐

It really tears your heart out knowing there's nothing you can do but let them go. You gave him a good life. I know nothing is going to take the pain away that you're going through. The hardest part was having to make an appointment settling on THAT DAY... too soon, not soon enough DOH itโs been a year and a half, I donโt cry every day, but I did cry yesterday and we have a new Rescue pup for a year now. ๐ซ๐ญ๐ข Iโm sorry for your loss.

chiappocWhat a cutie! It's so hard to make the decision for Euthanasia...I had to do it with Anpu (in my photo). He had lung cancer that spread up his throat. He was a lover until the very end! So sorry to hear about your loss...but if it's what is best for the animal then you showed the best of your love by ending any suffering.

She was with me through so many life changes and experiences, I felt like a huge part of me was missing when she passed. Her name was Kittygoose โบ๏ธ A few months later I adopted a 14 y/o cat from the shelter. I hated being in my apt alone after KG passed and Sophia has filled the silence.

dc101Our rescue kitty Hannah had a brain lesion and exhibited similar signs. Iโve never felt so helpless in my entire life than when we were unable to do anything to save her. Hannah and our other kitty were BFFs and he still mourns over the loss of his best play and snuggle mate. Lucy is too much a princess to play with him at the same level (wrestling and pinning and romping around the house like rhinos).

I only had him for 3 years, but Arthur and I worked at the same N H, for a good 5 years,he would be waiting for me at the door,then they didnโt want him anymore so he came home to us. beginthevintage@zardiva1 iโm sooo sorry about your poor kitty. This is EXACTLY what happened to my 16 year old kitty a couple years ago. I gave her fluids from an IV bag at home every day for a month to try to help her kidneys, but there is just nothing you can do for them at that point. Iโm kind of sad I made her go through it everyday because thereโs not a lot that could change the outcome. Pandy is a beautiful kitty!! Iโm sure you two had such a good life together! My true condolences. ๐ฅโค๏ธ

I had to put my dog Tiffany down she was 15. She was in my arms when she passed over the rainbow bridge. I still have my kitties, but will always remember her. ๐โค๏ธ

raytchellMy heart goes out to you. My fur baby was 19 with kidney issues for years. My vet and I talked over the medications and how they would reduce his QOL so we went organic. My boy was strong one day he came in with very odd walking issues as well. We rushed him to the emergency vet and found out that someone had backed over him and cracked his pelvis in two. I couldnโt bear the thought of these people euthanizing him, got pain meds and took him to my vet the next morning,

They were both over 20 yrs old when they passed within weeks of each other. We now have 3 cats & a dog. All of my kitties are seniors in their mid to upper teens & the oldest has had diabetes for years. I'm disabled & they are my world. I know how hard it is for you. I'm sending you hugs & prayers. ๐

He has lost so much weight over the last 6 months or so, his fur is matting and coming out on clumps, yet the vet can't technically find anything wrong in his labs. My family had to put down our 18 year old black and white cat, Biggs, earlier this year (2020). These kitties are special blessings in our lives and so dearly missed when they pass. newandvintage65@zardiva1 I recently lost my sweet girl cat in June. She was only 10. I think that crappy fancy feast brand wet food killed her & the other 2 cats before her. Itโs very difficult. My dog found her passed away. I thought she was just sleeping. I cried for 13 hrs straight. My dog had survived 4 cats. He still looks for her the one who I lost in June. I know how hard it is. lisar1022I just read this and my heart broke again reading it. I have been thru this with 4 fur babies-2 cats (Miss Kitty [2002], Little Bit [2010], and 2 pups Zip [2010], and Zena [2018]. We had each of them at least 12 years. Little Bit was 18. I miss her still. Zena was my constant companion, and I get testy thinking about her. Our babies bless us more than they know. They are gifts. Cats choose their people, so be honored he chose you.

appyluv2and as she aged she developed kidney disease..I fed her a good feed and she did well for yrs after that..When she was 13 yrs she developed an open sore on her breast, an absess. So took her to the vet and she said she thought it might be cancer..But try this medicine and see if it goes away. If it doesn't it is cancer..

appyluv2I sat her down off my lap, because I was going out to ride my horse..She wanted out to eat some grass, and was laying out in the sunshine. I knew it was time for me to make that Decision. I just went out to saddle the horse, and came back and she was gone. No where to be found!! I searched and searched, called her and no sign of her. I do believe she went off to die..She was telling me it was time. but she spared me the grief..

We recently loss our Niko back in October after nearly 17 years. We faced the same decision you did. Our vet was very kind and compassionate. We faced this during the pandemic so our vet set up a tent outside where we could be with our baby during his final minutes. Even though it was difficult our vet helped make it easier.

It's a devastating disease. I'm still grieving for him. I have a black cat that's 15 now. She thinks that she's 6 yo. I've had her since 6 weeks old.
