bbbabe3715 @mbd31 Added some of the chain, the cross front & back. I believe this type of chain is called a box link. Please let me know if you have any other questions. 😊

bbbabe3715 @mbd31 Tried to get the marks on the chain but they're too small. Some I only discerned by looking through a magnifying glass.

anewave When you say the cross is worn, do you mean the playing is wearing off?

bbbabe3715 @anewave The last photo of the back of the cross shows what i was referring to.

bbbabe3715 @anewave The front is uniform, the back has obviously long brushed clothing so has slight change of coloration, but that's not the side that will be seen.

bbbabe3715 @greekgodess Hi! I've attempted to reexamine the Cross and the chain and draw the various marks as best as I can interpret them viewed through a magnifying glass and I've photographed the drawing. The box link chain is more contemporary, of course, marked 750 for 18Kt gold on both the clasp & jump ring. Upside down to the 750 appears to be marked ⭐ 195 AR. The reverse side of the jump ring appears to have a lock symbol.

bbbabe3715 @greekgodess The Cross is non- magnetic so I assume it's a brass base with gold wash which accentuates the engraving. The wash appears a bit Rosey to my eye which is why I think it may be rose gold wash. You'll see the back of the Cross shows some slight wear exposing a bit of the base metal.

bbbabe3715 @greekgodess The hallmarks are more difficult to visualize. My eye interprets them a little differently than I may have originally described. There's a I I P or H P read holding the Cross upright and SC mc upside down to it. I hope this information is helpful. Again, my apologies for the delay. Thank you.
