atticchic @skycladents Boutique is when an item has been purchased directly from a brand or a distributor and is now being sold for the first time. Buying an item wholesale qualifies as a boutique item. Closet is when it's been purchased from a retail store for example and is being sold again.

atticchic @skycladents I have another example that hopefully clarifies. So think of a brick and mortar store that sells clothing e.t.c. They purchase their inventory from a distributor or "wholesaler " so the brick and mortar store is the one selling the items to the public for the first time.
