jenna21marie what they are trying to do is lie, get the option to refund, will send you a fake product back or pile of rocks and then poof delete their profile and make a new one 🤷‍♀️ or claim item was broke or used and send you back their old broken or used garbage and keep the new item. Its disgusting!

jenna21marie @alexis0312 you actually do have reviews as a buyer that shows and shows you have been active for years :) I mean like brand spanking new accounts, no info, no pics, no reviews etc. I had a lady push push push to get a L/E, lip set for a good price because she wanted it for her daughter so we worked it out and shipped right away..

jenna21marie @alexis0312 thennnn she gets it and opens a claim and doesn't "want it", wanted glosses instead when everywhere said they were matte lippies and she knew they were because she had me specify what set it was 🤦‍♀️ then she kept making up lie after lie after lie trying to not be charged so she can shut her acct down and not return it.

tahjirdesigns You are 💯right‼️ Every time I sell to a new profile they either said the item was fake or there was some issue. I no longer sell to new profiles. I take detailed photos and even video them going to post office.

kellah How can you prevent people from buying from you that are new ? I always have issues with newbies . They do not rate ,if they do they give totally unfair ratings ., wish to God we could rate them back, But block is the only option. This is despicable- but people can be . Ugh

You should definitely cancel orders of they make you suspicious! It's just sad to even have to!

jenna21marie @ymend001 on here they have 3 days to file a claim from the time of receiving the package. otherwise posh will release the funds to you if they haven't rated or opened a claim by then. I am sorry this has happened to you :( Make sure to know posh's refund policy to protect yourself. They cannot refund just for changing their mind. ♡

jenna21marie @kellah The only thing I can think of is cancelling the orders. I was going to email posh and ask them because I don't want to get dinged for having to do that but we should be able to refuse selling if we don't feel comfortable with a buyer for some reason.

jenna21marie @ymend001 your welcome ♡ yes, learned the hard way a long time ago. I always record and take pictures of everything and package like a crazy person so I know 110% when I am being duped. Luckily posh has a good policy its just when they try to switch items out with used or fake items is a huge issue. A little hack I learned is to write down the batch # or anything that sticks out to you on the item so if you do get a return you will know if it was switched out.

jenna21marie @tokkibve right!! I am going to email posh and see their policy on cancelling orders. As sellers we should be able to decline sales at our own discretion if we feel like something is off but I don't know what algorithm they have and don't want to get dinged either for it :(.

It has saved me quite a few times and even if posh does decide in a refund because they are pretty black and white at least you had proof to show them regardless.

jenna21marie @simplyhelena89 I also keep proof and track of serial #'s, batch codes, anything that can distinguish it is your item in case of a return so you can double check and know if they sent you a fake or switched it out. It really sucks to go to such extremes but I have learned scammers are relentless and won't stop at anything :(

She had a house full of people when I’m knocked on her door and demanded my item back as I gave her back the one she sent back to me. I’m not new to this app at all I’ve been on Poshmark often on since 2014 this is my new account but thank you for the reminder though I’ve video record and take pictures of everything I sell

jenna21marie @hauteprincessa I recieve SO many broken palettes and items weekly that people just don't care at all to use bubble wrap or wrap properly at ALL! So when someone packages correctly and even goes above and beyond to make it fancy with extras it is ALWAYS acknowledged. Then those that don't, I politely give them the run down on how to package correctly and still thank them and move forward. Unless they are a vet seller then its really unacceptable at that point.

jenna21marie @hauteprincessa I don't know how many people will also try and find any small little flaw so they can try to file a claim in hopes they get it free and then if posh tells them to return...they never do and I am stuck not getting paid for 2 weeks 🤦‍♀️Some people should not buy online and instead go to the store and pick out your own item lol.

jenna21marie @jennasch80 YESS!!!! 🤬 I have had this happen about 4 times, I have caught it 3/4 times but one time I didn't and they "claimed " they never got it and all of this BS. What is wrong with people, if they change any info atleast notify your seller so they can double check everything 🤷‍♀️

Printed & packed everything, luckily I checked my notifications before I dropped it off bc she had ‘cancelled’ and blocked me. Literally had just got done talking to me about how she couldn’t wait to get it.

jenna21marie @amy_chaos I also had a lady try to pull a similar stunt on another app and I am just waiting for her to pull something upon arrival. She bought these 2 VS dogs knowing the size and all, I got them packaged and shipped and she keeps asking all these weird questions on other items then that night goes.. I actually have those dogs can I cancel the order and get this bling mirror instead 🤬 NO that is not how it works and its been shipped which she knew. Blows my mind!!

She had to of cancelled it sometime between 3am & 7am AND KNEW I’d gotten it ready & possibly dropped it. Usually posh doesn’t let them cancel like that I thought cause then there she goes with a free authentic JS palette and I’m left w/ nothing.

You know when they start getting all weird after the purchase you’re most likely going to have issues. I’m glad there is a solid group of people who WILL say LOOK OUT FOR THIS OR THAT. candigalloway I’m freaking out reading this post! I sold my LV on here Sunday. The notification I received was a fleurs_r9082 purchased it. Posh sent me the sold notification, then sent me a shipping label. I sent it off Tuesday morning. I haven’t received my money yet, so I checked the status of it &noticed that posh had a fryan73 as the purchaser. I immediately recognized that was a different name. I clicked on the fleurs_r9082 and it NO LONGER EXISTS!!!

candigalloway I then clicked on fryan73 & his profile is totally sketchy. No photos, listings, info, NOTHING! I immediately contacted posh and gave pictures of the two different purchasers and told them that I thought it was a scam. Can they scam me when it went through posh for authentication? I am new to being a seller although I have been on posh a long time. I have purchased many, many things on here but have only sold one other item.

candigalloway @jenna21marie I’m not really sure how they did it but the notification I got was from a totally different purchaser than what posh had on their notification to me 🤷🏼‍♀️ I emailed posh as soon as I discovered it. Their email said it would take 24 hours for them to respond so I guess all I can do is wait. When I tracked it earlier, it had not been delivered to the seller yet and is still with posh.

I have seen people selling all fakes who had numerous claims on them etc and still up and selling it blows my mind. Then I have had my profile under review and almost taken down before for warning others of fakes and them claiming "harassment" for blasting them to try and save others 🤦‍♀️ I just don't get alot of things lol

On most posh accepted their "refund" request and none ever sent their items back of course. 🙄 They thought they would just get refunded 😂

Not all have been bad though, usually don't know to rate though lol. Just this past month its been 1 bad thing after another with new profiles so I am praying for you. buizybee09 girl u said it! just this Season I'v had NIB Naked reloaded palette shipped w/receipt didnt get item or $ fr the palette. I've been havin trouble w/Posh /Post office bc Posh will still say PENDING Scan when my honest buyer/trader hav received it! Ur right I'v bn takin pics as much as I can always hav receipts but I need 2 make videos it just adds more in2 everythin esp wit them takin 20% ppl need 2be honest bc it's not like we r millionaires we r reg ppl tryin 2 get by!!

I always try to ship same day and recently had a very expensive bundle purchase and the buyer said please ship immediately but would not answer my questions which I thought was strange. I was trying to ask them about wrapping you know if it was a Christmas or other gift. Then I got a change of address sent to me and it didn’t feel right. I sent Posh like 3 messages

I had a strong feeling I would have had to fight hard to get my money back. I read that even though they aren’t allowed to cancel after 3 hrs new ppl are waiting for you to ship and then cancelling. I don’t know how they are allowed to do that but it’s scary.

jlmeyers44 @jennmore21 this was absolutely the most helpful post I have ever read. I still have questions but I’ll try to figure them out. I have been a seller on e bae for over 10+ years. Also sell on other platforms. I’ve only sold one thing on here because of the nightmare on one of the other platforms. I got the old cancel after I shipped move. I do say “I won’t sell to first time buyers until they message me first.”

What WILL happen if we cancel the transaction with these “new” buyers with nothing in their closets? It makes me look bad because everyone will think “why is she canceling all her orders?”

jlmeyers44 @jennmore21 I do always try to take pictures of what I sell. Putting the weight of the box down is brilliant!! Also, I have my mail carrier pick up so I don’t get a receipt. That’s a problem. I’m so scared to sell.

jennmore21 @jlmeyers44 I feel for @jenna21marie because when you put all your time in making the listing, answering questions and all only to have the buyer change their mind or I made a mistake, it’s really disappointing bc I’m sure she wraps nicely and puts her heart into it like a lot of us do. Posh has rules in place that will protect you but she’s right, always video record your pieces before you ship them.

jenna21marie @jennmore21 I sadly got screwed today and had posh basically steal from me! I had someone a week ago open a claim "claiming" a pat palette came with 1 shade broken even though I liteeally double bubble wrapped it, triple bubble mailer wrapped it and then boxed it with even more padding. Oddly the claim pics had NO shadow all over the mirror even thouse it was "shattered" anyways posh today cancelled the whole claim and she gets the product FREE and her money back and I am out both!!!

jenna21marie @jennmore21 I went off on Posh this morning and still not a peep back. I am beyond frustated. All the proof was there that if it did break it was USPS throwing it at a wall or something. Hence why we pay priority shipping that has insurance so in instances like that it is covered for both buyer and seller but nope....screw me! I am at a loss for words.

jennmore21 @jlmeyers44 That’s proof and try to put as many pictures and be as descriptive as possible in the listing. Those are some of the best ways to protect yourself. I’ve been worried about 1st time buyers but other than that one issue lately I’ve been lucky to have some awesome people buy. I just wanted to mention it bc after that happened it didn’t feel right and I read it was a scam going around so I thought to include my experience in this post to help sellers.

jenna21marie @jennmore21 Then we have horrible people on here who have 0 lives, trying to make false reports to get peoples pages down or spiteful people who if you point out their fake palettes so they go lie to 20 people to try and get them rialed up to make false claims. 🤦‍♀️ My mind is blown, great way to a new year, even more crazies so far lol.

jenna21marie @jlmeyers44 Awe good I am so happy to help! The 20% fee sucks and I always chopped it up to better customer service is worth it up until issues recently 🤦‍♀️. Say if that does happen, when it scans in the system regardless if the cancelled posh will basically put the listing back into action as its being sent and charge it again. Then they can decide to ship the item back or keep and rate it so you get paid. That is from my own

jennmore21 @jlmeyers44 Posh says if I had shipped not to worry but on a $300 item of course you worry. I read people paying to stop shipment on cancellations like that and sending Posh the receipt. I’m lucky I didn’t send but theirs always going to be scammers and inconsiderate people all we can do is look out for each other and try to protect ourselves the best we can.😊 Posh will protect you to an extent and I’m glad they at least I hope I read right sided with @jenna21marie and did not issue the refund

I want to do that also but its so scary on these apps ran by algorithms and bots that I am sure so many cancellations will get you flagged and put your page at risk. That is where I am at a crossroads. It is not worth the money or hassle though because like I just told the lady above, posh basically gave a buyer a refund and let them keep the product and screwed me which is theft! You know selling anywhere else...you ship the item back 1st for a refund.

jenna21marie @jlmeyers44 but in this case, 1 shade was broke and honestly super easy to fix and use still. All the proof was there that USPS had to of mishandled it also everything is priority shipping on here for a reason. When this happened before they let the buyer keep it and refund them and they seller got a refund also or they have them ship back for a refund. Because posh just files a claim and gets the money regardless. I am livid!!!

jenna21marie @jlmeyers44 I don't know how many people have tried to just use googled pics of broken items to file a claim its horrible or they use their old or broken palette to lie so I always ask for the batch code and put an identifying mark only I would know and see so I can call it out. It is sad to go to those lengths and have to question everyone. :(

I feel posh is not standing up for their sellers anymore like they should and scam buyers are having a field day with it. It makes me disgusted the lengths people go to. You can pay to intercept a package but it doesn't always work and sometimes they will still even deliver it :/

Plus you have proof it obviously had a rough shipment which sounds about right throwing it across the truck or something. I see the Amazon ladies do it here at my building so I wouldn’t doubt it’s possible. I would continue to fight the situation with Posh if you have proof they will have to refund you and make insurance claim with usps that’s not cool

When someone is out money and product that is theft and a scam and without my consent to do so. M is even worse, that app stole $1500 from me and just randomly shut my acct down a year or so back because someone else messaged me about paying another way. It is not right :( we are making them money they should protect their sellers!

I wrap so much people start to worry thinking its all wrap 😂 I have recieved farrrr to many broken items on here and know how rough usps workers are with packages to even chance it. Out of thousands of packages and this 1 somehow broke lol. It is always better to be safe and yes its so expensive. All of that adds up fast

I even had the buyer post photos of everything it came packaged in and her whole kitchen counter was filled with bubble wrap and mailers and padding and she even told posh it was wrapped very secure so whaaat! I wonder if I should just go file the usps claim then 🤷‍♀️ Same, every morning I hear my postal guy slam all my boxes on the ground it makes me so mad and he knows I buy fragile makeup

I would definitely stay on Posh with this esp if you have videos and proof and marks on your pieces. Don’t let that go that’s your product and you deserve compensation. I’m so sorry, I hope this is your last bad shipment and it’s gets better

I firmly believe in karma and that you get back what you put into this universe. We aren't just peoples gateway to free items and the more knowledge us sellers have and we all stick together and help one another the more we can out smart them and hopefully slow it down.

jenna21marie @jennmore21 another helpful tool for all sellers! If anyone EVER claims they "didn't" receive their package.. always call usps! Everytime they scan anything it is tracked and recorded by a satellite. You will know where, and when it was delivered and if someone grabbed it etc. Once it shows delivered to their address it is out of our control and is their issue to take up with usps and file a missing report or police report.

I could go on with like another 5 horror stories from the past week I am so damn sick of it and Posh isn't taking the sellers side much anymore like they used too so I think aholes are just trying to work the damn system at our expense or just creating multiple profiles to harass or try to get super cheap stuff it is INSANE!

kodi_swanda This is beyond disgusting! It also takes away from people who really want an item as well. Since I am always broke, I usually just have to hope items stay available, and especially with Jeffree items, by the time I am ready to buy its been sold. If you are buying to scam the seller, let the item go to someone who actually wants it and can appreciate it.

They always side with the buyer even if you have all the proof in the world I have realized. 🤦‍♀️ I would cancel if you have a bad feeling for sure hun. not worth it

I am beyond over it lately. Always new profiles too like thanks for backing up one of your vet sellers 🤬🤦‍♀️ If I make a mistake I will gladly own it and thats why I photo everything also ugh

But I am getting a different kind if issue with ppl harassing my listings preventing sales! This is not normal. It’s like they are immature children. I just discovered the block account feature! They sell similar items and disbarge my listings with crude comments. It’s the same people over and over. Please start a blacklist! are we allowed???

I have to keep blocking these kids. Jeffree Star cosmetics attracts vial teens who CANNOT read!!! If they cannot purchase my item, go and get it from someone else. Why shame someone’s listing? so stressful😞
