mccormackdiane Hi there, I typically wear a size 8 in Lily Pulitzer styles, however, my experience with this particular dress is that it is not true to size and is actually much smaller. (I could not close the zipper). I am 5'5" and weigh 135 pounds. I am a little gun shy about ordering a 10 and am wondering if a 12 might fit better. Would you please send me the pit to pit measurements of both dresses if you still have those sizes? Thx!

fun2sail @mccormackdiane Good morning, sure glad to provide you with the measurements. With Lilly sizes are all over the place and I do recommend buyer to request them. The size 10 pit to pit across the front is 17.75” The size 12 is 18.5” I hope this helps and let me know if you need any other measurements.

mccormackdiane Hmmm - thinking I would like to actually try them on. Would it be possible to purchase both so I can determine which is a better size and return the one that doesn't fit? I would send the dress back the very next day to you. Also, I noticed that you have sold 2 of the Phoenix Swizzle NWT for $80.00 each. Would you take $100.00 for one?

I do understand about wanting to try them on but these are pretty weighty dresses and shipping with postmark would eat up what little profit there might be and I'd also hate for you to have to pay for the extra shipping as well.

mccormackdiane i understand. So, could you give me the measurements for both dresses from shoulder to hem, and from shoulder seam to the armpit please?Then I will have to make my best guess. I have the same dress in size 8 that I have yet to reposh and I'd rather not start a collection. Thinking the 12 might be a tad big and that the 10 will work, but want to be sure. Also, can you tell me what material they are made of? Trying to think ahead about shrinkage too. I looked through the seams on my 8

mccormackdiane Good morning, Joy! Your dress arrived and it is lovely. But because it fits snugly and the shell is made of 100% cotton I'm afraid when I wash it that it will become too small. Think I will be happier with a fit the 12 will give, so I will return the 10 to your Taylorsville Georgia address. I will also include cash to cover the postage on the exchange package. mccormackdiane I received a message that you were under the impression the size 10 fit. (See the above message) It is snug on me and because the shell is made from 100% cotton, it is sure to shrink when washed. Therefore, I would like to return it to you and exchange it for the size 12. The dress is boxed and ready to ship. I went to the Post Office today to have it weighed and they said the shipping charges will be $16.10. I will include that amount to cover the amount of sending the size 12 dress to me.

mccormackdiane Hi Joy, We are leaving for Maui this coming Saturday 3/12. I will send you the size 10 tomorrow and will include $16.10 to cover the cost of you sending me the size 12. I wasn't planning on taking it with me on vacation, so whenever you can send it is fine. No big rush.Wish I had noticed on my 8 that the dress is cotton because I would have stuck with my inner vibe to buy the 12. Will preshrink it and then see if I need to do any slight alterations.
