I traded Gucci5940/(xx_riley omg she changed her username now )
several fll dresses for Gucci belts that were fake. She’s now selling my merchandise instead of trading me back she’s ignoring my texts and reposting all my trades.
Sent over 1000 dollars worth of merchandise trusting her trades.
She takes pics of her real things and mails fakes out. Pictured is one of the belts she sent me- logo is off the hardware doesn’t match and the box is not the beautiful Gucci box

Girls, girls, girls!!!!! When a posher has multiple of the same belt for sale, including other styles, please ask them to authenticate the item and show you the proof! Ir authenticate it yourself before trading. It costs only $10 to authenticate!! It’s worth losing $10 rather than thousandths! These belts retail $650 and upwards... Gucci belts and jewelry are so highly replicated!

Can’t stress how important it is to authenticate items before trading!!! The most experienced poshers/traders fall for these items! Don’t do it unless you have a legit third party authenticator (expert) check!!! I’m very sorry this happened to you but that is an obvious replica! The little metal part should be bronze and the font is way off along with stitching!

These replica belts cost $64.99. These thieves buy them in bulk and sell them at 10X their cost as authentic! This goes for all the Gucci jewelry, Chanel jewelry, Dior jewelry, etc... I see seasoned poshers selling and trading closets full of these items and others fall for it! Be BERY careful!!! Not all poshers are nice and will do the right thing and return your items! Authenticate, Authenticate, Authenticate your items!!!😉

@coco1158 That's a pretty sophisticated scam. For somebody to swap out an authentic for a replica. It's pretty gutsy. file a police report in your town, and in her area. Some dispatchers will take a report and follow up with an officer from another county.
file a crime report with the IC3 crime online report and mail fraud complaint at the USPS.com.
They don't get away with it with reports made. It eventually catches up with them!

I don't know if I tagged the wrong person. I would also file a complaint with Poshmark that she is selling stolen merchandise. First file a crime report with your local authorities, then you'll have the merit with a case number and show Poshmark that she is selling stolen merchandise.

@jonadel I am SO sorry this happened to you!🤦🏼♀️ I will report her!!! She wanted basically my whole closet for a “$30k Rolex. 🤦🏼♀️ I told her I need paperwork, more pics of the watch, etc,. She kept saying she would post the necessary proof, but never did. I reported her several times but Posh never responded🤦🏼♀️

@mary2196 Good for you! I'm glad that you reported her suspicious behavior. Scammers are taking full advantage of the fact Posh doesn't cover trades. We can report suspicious behavior and report theft listings.
Their policies clearly state that they do not allow stolen merchandise to be sold on their platform. That could be a way to get rid of the scammers and prevent crime. If you have a case number, they do take it down. I've done that

@ambarabella86 that's often a red flag for me. a closet full of stuff priced over 500 but sold for under 500. There was one yesterday. High priced items but basically everything sold for under 500. There are a lot of new Poshers that actually think they are getting good deals.
